Just started the Whole30!

Today was day one on the Whole30. I'm thinking I should have started on a different day. Today is my long bike workout day and not having any carbs was and is a tough thing. I am completely exhausted and all I can think about is having a couple of Clif bars or some pasta! I know that I will be going through withdrawals from no sugar and carbs, and I will get through it because I know it is the best thing to do!

Now to get my shopping list ready for tomorrow.

Good Luck Jim. Alison's advice is totally true. I used to do long distance fast road biking and thoght that carbs could only come from pasta and oatmeal...LOL Now, on my work out days, I use sweet potatoes as a good source. I actually was blown away by how many fruits and veggies have good carbs. Go check out raisans and grapes! I can vouch that the carbs in sweet potatoes and yams will cut it.
