Artistcam
Started my second Whole30 yesterday. I had great success the first time. Lots of non scale victories such as lower fasting blood sugar, less nausea, flatter belly and muffin top, cured my chronic cough. I did lose about 6 lbs, which was a nice surprise. I would say I am high normal in weight but carry excess weight around my middle. I have a small frame . I have never been more than slightly overweight. And yes I know this isn't a weight loss diet but a girl can hope. Actually not a girl but a woman in her 70's. The reasons I am doing this a second time are: . Weight gaiin . Inches gained everywhere, particularly around middle. Clothes fitting too tightly. I hadn't measured hips, bust, waist for 8 months and the increased inches were a shock. Fasting blood sugar readings are creeping up I have Type 2 diabetes that I control by eating a low carb diet. i haven't been able to tame my dairy habit, which I suspect contributed to my weight game. Love my heavy cream! i didn't do a structured reintroduce last time. Things I will do differently this time: less fruit, less sweet potatoes and yams, figure out how I can deal with dairy after Whole 30. So wish me luck. day 1 fasting blood sugar: 97 m1 black tea, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup baby potatoes, 1 slice bacon, vit d supplement, salt and pepper m2 3 pork ribs, 3 cups salad - lettuce, carrots, celery, dressing, black tea, salt ( blood sugar read 1 hour 113, 2 hrs 107) m3 sparkling water with lemon, 6 oz pulled pork, kale,, salad of beets, jicama, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper evening snack: pecans with clarified butter and salt late night snack: left over pork rib
