Emily
My bf has some pretty intense varicose veins on one of his legs. He's really young for this—mid 30s. It worries me. We've both done multiple Whole30s and are generally active and healthy; he is tall and lean (when he does the W30 he works to not lose weight!). He hasn't seen a doctor about them but I want him to...but at the same time I've learned to be very suspicious of docs after getting lots of poor advice for my thyroid. I know I had to work hard to find a good doc who was up on current research and both the doc and I used stopthethyroidmadness. I'm looking for information about varicose veins, long term health problems (clotting?), Vitamin K (should be eaten or avoided?) We're hoping the Paleo diet will help. Can you help? Flynn
Of course it's best to get a doctor's opinion as soon as you can, but in the meantime, if he is standing for long periods it's a good idea to get some compression socks...this will help with circulation. Also, elevating the legs when relaxing. Good luck!
