  1. Hello, So today at OTF I nearly passed out. My splat points have been low. Today I only got 3, last work on (day 2 w30) I did 9. I feel like lead. Will this go away? Whole30 is supposed to help your work outs eventually right? I'm def not an athlete but this is the only forum I thought this question belonged in. Also what do ya'll eat preworkout? I usually don't because running tends to make me throw up and I'm now a runner/jogger. I didn't eat today when I went...normally I can skip breakfast til I get back but man!!

    I tried to get in with doctor, no appointments til next Thursday. Military healthcare, what fun. Two eggs, one sausage and half potato I think my chili is about a cup and a half and I'm having an apple as well.

    I'm on Day 21. I had diced chicken apple sausage and white potato with egg mixed in for breakfast, coffee with cashew milk. I drink water with lemon essential oils dropped in all day long. I don't keep track but I'm clear. I lift weights three times a week, just enough to be sore on my days off. I have not given into doing cardio yet. I never could find my cuff to take my blood pressure but I am feeling much better. It's been about 24 hours now since I last took my meds (I'm on a diuretic). Lunch today will be left over chili from the whole 30 book.
  4. I'm having horrible dizzy spells today. I've eaten breakfast and have had coffee. All within the last hour. I had a few spells yesterday but again, it was after lunch. I'm eating enough. I wonder if this warrents a trip to my doctor to see if I can come off my BP meds? I'm looking for my BP cuff so I can take it but I'm losing that battle.

    I deemed them SWYPO because they were too sweet and def a trigger at that. They did taste good though. I need to find those almond butter packs and cut up some celery and stuff. Doula work takes a lot of energy.

    Blood pressure has risen, not dropped

    I had been school shopping with the kids, stressful yes....but to have numbers that high was scary. I took it again and it was 165/98 so the bottom was a bit better, but I still feel like I could pop off with a stroke any day. I'm not diabetic and not obese....but my risk factors include: Migraines, pre-eclampsia with pregnancy, being overweight and family history. I feel so doomed. I'm taking baby aspirin just in case until I can get in to see my doctor It's crazy 3 weeks ago we were talking about maybe going off my meds because my BP was perfect and actually low for me.
  8. I'm on my 2nd Whole 30, third attempt. I completed one in June. July has been hard!!! Anyways, going for it again in August. Now I restarted over sugar in coffee and I had one bread bowl at panera. Yesterday my blood pressure sky rocketed. I didn't even know it. I just happened to stop by a friends house and noticed she had a blood pressure cuff out. (She's a midwife) She took it for me and it was 168/109. I'm still on my medicine and a few weeks ago it was stable. Could this be eggs? Cholesterol related from more meat in my diet? Agggghhhhhh

    Starting July 28 - It's prep weekend!!

    Okay so I guess I was destined for the 28th. My husband brought me a big cup of joe to wake me up and not thinking I drank it. During whole30 I drink it with just coconut milk. Oh well. Monday it is. I'll probably whole30 it the rest of the day though. No need in eating crap over coffee lol

    Starting July 28 - It's prep weekend!!

    I'm starting tomorrow so I'll be a day ahead. I was on day 11 when I fell off. Attending a birth for 18 hours, I just didn't make it. I should have cooked ahead but two clients were sent in to be induced. Ahhh! I'm Naomi and I am a birth doula! I coah moms through childbirth. I will be better prepared next time, I sucessfully road tripped and attended two births last whole30 I did, so I know I can do that again.

    I fell off! I was at a long birth Wednsday night and I gave in to some peanut butter to tie me over. 18 plus hour birth. I am starting again on Sunday. It took me two days to come out of my birth hangover. Headaches returned almost immediatly though, leading me to believe bread and I don't get along.

    I've been sleepy too and I'm not nursing. I can imagine you must be tired. Make sure you are getting enough calories. When I was nursing my 2nd son, I didn't eat enough and my supply dropped along with my energy. Good on you for nursing!

    Ummm, I woke up not hungry but I really want to try and make a fritter...lol and this one sounds yummy. I guess it's lunch time though, so maybe tomorrow. I had a great meal at Ruby Tuesday. I had the petite sirloin with grilled zucchini and the salad bar. It's all compliant. Steak done in olive oil by request and the waitress went and the dairy free page to make sure the zucchini was butter free. I was so tempted to get the white baked potato, but I didn't have any coconut butter on me lol.

    Day 5 for me. I had spoke too soon. I wanted sugar yesterday so bad!!! I've lost some inches woot! My little pudge is disappearing slowly! (This is take 2 for me, so give it time).
