    Starting Jan. 2

Starting my 2nd Whole 30 on 1/2. I have maintained all that I lost until Thanksgiving. My memory is still drastically improved. So thankful for this. Looking forward to the reset. I did my last W30 w/o ISWF. Looking forward to ISWF landing on my doorstep this afternoon. I figure with a year of wanting something and I still want it, it must be something I really want.

My main thing was to lose weight as well. I am about 80 lbs overweight. So, VERY overweight. 12 lbs is AMAZING to lose in a month. I won't even come close to that. I think you should be thrilled. This isn't The Biggest Loser. 12 lbs is MORE than an ideal number. Great job!

Hi all, I haven't had time to check in with you all. It's almost coming to a close. The last 2 weeks have in some ways been easier some not. The first to weeks were tough beacuse of the sleep issues and dreams and crankiness but my resolve was strong. The last two weeks, I've felt great but I was ready to just eat. I stood firm though. Last weekend, I threw my little sister a bridal shower. I made all the food and was able to throw in a some deviled eggs that were whole 30 approved. I made the cupcakes too. So, twice this month I baked and did not even have one lick of frosting. I did have one small slip up. I had about 2 T of hummus, not thinking that it was a legume. BUMMER. This made me mad for not thinking it through. I just chalked it up to a mistake and let it go and forgave myself.

Day 12. I am staying strong! I was elected to bake a cake for my cousins bday today. Try baking a scratch chocolate cake without taking a lick. First because it smells soooooo yummy and 2ndly out of sheer habit. Phew. I survived. tonights dinner is carne asada for the birthday and my mom will make guacamole w/o sour cream so, I will have plenty of options. I plan on bringing a bbqd chicken breast in case there is sweetness in the meat. My face broke out yesterday in places it dosn't normally, so that's kid of wierd. That's all I have to report on this wonderful Saturday!

CRAVING ALL THE THINGS!!! Took my kiddos on a field trip today. I craved every stinking fast food or sit-down restaurant I passed. Annoying. I just drove on by. Came home and snacked on some castelavatrono olives instead

Choices: Eat something I really want but will take a while to prepare and cook or eat grilled chicken salad (boring) that just needs to be thrown together? Answer: grilled chicken salad. Laziness wins today.

Day 9, going strong. I was able to shop and get stuff that we can all eat as a family. We had a Wagyu beef tenderloin, that was a gift from a friend. Last night I made chicken soup with noodles on the side for the fam. soo good. leftovers tonight. Oh, hamburgers one night. so happy I am not cooking more than one dinner a night. I had one "Ima gonna kill you" night. Crazy dreams are gone. Sleep is back. Headache today. Body is shrinking, recovery from workouts is quicker. Im awake and energetic during the day and when it is time for bed, oh my, I am ready!!! I regularly make homecooked, from scratch meals for my family, but now the prep time and cooking is wayyyy more, since I am cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. im gonna have hard boiled eggs ready, I also grilled up some meat in advance so its ready to go to help with this and leftovers are my friend! It feels wierd that it is 'okay', to eat a whole avacado. so glad I do not have to weigh and measure and that fat is my friend. I bought some grass fed beef ribs and bbqed them to eat and to keep the bones for broth. FAIL. Ribs were sooooo tough I could barely bite them and the bones were too singed and the broth was burnt tasting. I threw it out. I agree that gass fed beef is hard to get used to for the gamey-ness. All in all, I think things are going great.

Tropical Traditions is the best coconut oil around, however my costco has 72 oz for $22 Nutiva. It is organic, extra virgin, that price is CRAZY good!!!

Day 4, in the books. Dealing with wierd dreams, not the best sleep, a little heartburn /acid but its getting better. Plusses.: already seeing better skin and tonight my rings are falling off. I desided to start whole 30 on the 31st and started the 1st. I had already grocery shopping and had to make due with what I had on hand. I had to make 2 meals each night to make what I had stretch. One for me, one for the hubs and kids. Looking forward to making meals we can all enjoy.

Hi all! This is my first whole 30 and I started yesterday. I have various aches and pain, "seasonal allergies" (maybe they are something else), and I am about 80 lbs overweight. I have lost 20 over the last several years. Trying to get rid of the excess weight once and for all. I was used to eating 1 greek yogurt and granola for breakfast. Now I feel like I have a brick in my stomach with eggs scrambled with spinach, mushroom and onion. I'm hoping this goes away.
