    First Whole 30 reintroduction

Oh no, your poor husband! Sounds like everything else is going great! My husband lost almost 25 pounds and I lost 10 lbs. I don’t feel like my hubby has enjoyed this food thing as much as I have. Don’t get me wrong, he has loved the meals I have prepared....he just wants junk. Lol I agree with everything you have said. My energy level is so much different now. And I love the fact that I am understanding my body signals better. I used to say that I never get full. I have not said that one time since I started Whole30. I NEVER ate breakfast and sometimes never ate lunch. What’s funny is that breakfast has quickly become my favorite meal!! I can not wait to get up in the morning and eat. I think that change right there has surprised me the most.

Thank you!! I didn’t even think about making a new thread. So guess what I did? I started a new thread for those who are starting the reintroduction phase. I’m not sure if this is the correct way to share it, but here goes: I already have questions........of course
  3. Since this is my first Whole30, I’m not sure what to expect during the reintroduction phase. Yesterday we introduced legumes. Peanut butter with breakfast, peas for lunch and supper. I chose those 2 items because they are the items we would tend to eat more of. Here I am after my first day of legumes and I have a headache. I’m honestly not sure if it’s from the legumes. The pollen count here is pretty high, plus we just had a front go through and it’s raining. Not to mention that my cycle is approaching (tmi?) How can I tell if my headache is from the conditions or the legumes?

We started our reintroduction today! We are doing the whole shabang and reintroducing everything in the steps given. Today was legumes. I have to admit that I am not a big peanut butter eater. But the peanut butter today was simply fantastic! Lolol Did I like it more than almond butter? I did and I’m not ashamed. Haha Although I will probably stick with almond butter.

With this being our first time, we have nothing to compare it to except for the way that we used to feel. I feel great! My husband, not so much. I keep telling him that some people may have to do it a little longer to feel the “tiger blood”. What we have discovered is that the food is AMAZING!! I have made things I would have never dreamed of making before; BBQ sauce, mayo, ranch dressing, to name a few. I have enjoyed these things more than the store bought bottles! I really want to continue this journey with clean eating. I’ve never been a dairy fan, so I have not missed that one bit. Pasta and breads are my downfall. Since being on Whole30, I miss them but I’m too full to want them. That’s a big win in my book! I know you are not suppose to weigh yourself until the journey is completed. With that being said, after the completion of week 2, I had to. Lol On week 2 I was down almost 7lbs. I really have not noticed a change in clothing sizes. I see a huge difference with my husband.....figures. To be honest, I did not want to start Whole30 with the thought of loosing weight. I wanted to see what the “tiger blood” was all about and to manage what I was putting into my mouth. Weight loss was an added bonus. We start our reintroduction on Tuesday (May 8), to say I am nervous is an understatement!

P.S. @ShannonM816 I’m now following you on IG. I’m Tami Rena’s Cookies. Yeah, how funny is that! I bake and decorate cookies for a living. I am proud to say, not one single piece of cookie dough or icing has touched my lips. Anyway, you have responded to a few of my posts and I wanted to thank you for your support. I also want to applaud your profession. My aunt, uncle and cousin are all hearing impaired. I’ve always wanted to do what you do.........but the cookie orders keep coming. Lol

Would you believe I have everyone of your “keep on hand”! Not only that, I also have an alarm set on my phone for my 2nd meal..........I turned my alarm off, because I would remember. Lololol I did not even think about the things I could have grabbed. My mind was focused on my left over porkchop that I wanted to eat. Thank you so much for your tips and suggestions. Even though I have a busy day to day routine, it is rarely interrupted my appointments. Oh, and my alarm is back on now

    FIRST TIMER - Starting 4/9/18

Today was the first day that I freaked a little about my eating schedule. The morning started out great, then I got busy. I had an appointment this afternoon at 1:30 and knew that I would need to eat my lunch before I left. The next thing I knew, it was time for me to leave and I hadn’t eaten lunch! I panicked because I wouldn’t be getting home until 3:00. I headed out the door with my first Larabar! When I got home after 3:00, I didn’t know what to do because we usually eat by 6:00. I was afraid if I went ahead and ate a full meal, that I wouldn’t be hungry for our last meal of the day. Sooooooo I ate all my vegetables. I’m pretty sure I probably should not have done it that way. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should have done? Surely this happens to other people, right? Lolol Other than all of that, we have had a really good week. The weekend is approaching again.......We made it through last weekend, we will make it through this one! I’m looking forward to the next step, TIGER BLOOD!!

Yes, I’m feeling bloated! I hope this goes away soon. Lol Sounds like our weekends were spent doing the same things. This past weekend was definitely hard for us. We got through it, but it was difficult. My husband and I were just discussing how today is the first day we have felt like we need all things sugar. We are not hungry......we just want a cookie....maybe just a lick of a cookie.

Yay for sleep!! I had my first good night sleep last night also. So good, that I woke up with a stiff neck. Hahaha Its Day 8 for us. Hubby still has a slight headache, mine is completely gone. We both still feel kinda blah. Although better than we felt a few days ago. It can only get better from here, right?

So funny you mention tired. I felt really amazing on Day 6 (yesterday for us), I thought I was so lucky in only having 1 day where I felt sleepy. Well that bit me in the butt big time! I slept in until 9 am today, which I NEVER do. I did not want to get out of bed. Since then, I’ve been fighting this sleepy feeling all day.....no energy.....maybe I should just take a nap

It’s Friday!! Is anyone dreading the weekend? Friday’s and Saturday’s used to be the only time I didn’t have to cook. Now I’m figuring out meals for two added days. No complaints here though. We are now on day 6 and our headaches are completely gone! Woo hoo! I have only had one day of feeling like I wanted to crawl back into bed, and that happened to be yesterday. Sadly, no crawling back into bed for me......I had a dentist appointment. Today I’ve been feeling pretty up beat and feel like I have developed a nice routine with our meals. My cravings are coming and going. Right now? All I want is just 1 milkdud. Lololol This to shall pass

We have also had stomach pains. They seem to occur when we are in bed trying to sleep. I have not slept well the past few evenings, so I’m not sure if I am feeling so tired because of that or because of the “hangover”. I am sure it is a combination of both.

Checking in with a Day 3 update! My husband and I are both suffering from headaches, major crabbiness (mostly my husband ), and just feel icky. My husband walked in from work and said if he feels like this tomorrow he is quitting! I came unglued. Lolol He is not quitting and either am I! Although, I do hope the “tiger blood” hits me soon!
