  1. ...and it'll be time for me to start my first Whole30. I've got to be honest, I'm starting this as a bit of a 'last resort'. I'm rapidly approaching 50 and I've been battling some mysterious (and some not-so-mysterious) health issues for the past 18 months. It began when I got hit by a car and shattered my collarbone. Progressed into frozen shoulder from there. Fiance and I split, leading to depression. Then hair loss, anemia, joint pains, extreme fatigue. Finally the chronic hives began in April of this year, and have now morphed in to some sort of vasculitis leaving huge bruises behind!!! Then of course menopause only muddies the water, I keep hearing that there's nothing wrong with me, it's just my hormones... (That or 'stress'...that one makes me want to punch someone in the nose!!!) I have finally found a GP that is actually listening to what I say, and I'm working with her to try and figure out what is going on, but she is a bit perplexed as am I. Just awaiting tests for lupus. Meanwhile, I feel the need to try and take some control back!!! I figure it can't hurt to examine how I am fueling my body and see if there is any correlation between what I am eating and how I am feeling! Good luck to everyone else starting on this journey - hope to see you all in the 'success stories' section soon! ~Al
