    Started 7/1 as a Family

    That's a tough one! I planned this for when my daughter wasn't doing any day camp activities. It can be tough when other kids try to share. Wishing you the best!

    Starting in...10 minutes!

    We're a week in and my husband definitely misses grains (in the form of beer). But my daughter is already seeing improvement to her stomach issues. Good luck to you both!

    Texas De Brazil

    I know this is an old topic, but I wanted to share our experience at Texas de Brazil. We told them up front we were dairy, sugar, soy, and grain free and our server confirmed it with us when he poured our water. He asked if we wanted him to accompany us to the salad bar to point out the items with weren't compliant. He also made sure to point out the meats that we should avoid due to marination. We rarely go out to eat but it was our anniversary. It was a great experience for all of us - even our teenager enjoyed herself.

    Menstrual Cramps / Whole 30

    Any update? My daughter has the same problem - cramps, vomiting, fainting. She's been on the pill for almost a year and it's stopped the vomiting and fainting but she still has cramps. We just started Whole 30 and I'm curious if this will help her.

    Teen daughter new to Whole30

    My 15 year old won't eat eggs, either. I made a compliant pumpkin banana apple bake I found on Pinterest. (I might have "forgotten" to tell her it has eggs in it.) It has a custard-like consistency and she really likes it for breakfast. Yesterday, I made fruit pops as a 4th of July treat. I pureed strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple and froze them. She loved it.

    Started 7/1 as a Family

    I've been lurking for a while. We started Whole30 on 7/1. My teenager thinks she's sensitive to dairy so it seemed like a good opportunity to take all of us back to basics. I had expected my husband not to join in, but he surprised me. He's really embraced it. Today is day 5 and we're all feeling really good. Prior to this, our diets were relatively healthy. We all eat home-prepared meals approximately 97% of the time. I teach fitness classes and definitely feel it when I'm not eating well. My only "complaint" so far is that it's a lot of food at each meal. I have been carb cycling since March and was used to eating 5, protein-rich mini-meals. I'm really excited to see how this helps my daughter.
