  1. Good evening! I’m on day 5, and, thanks to the good advice I’ve received here, my nausea is improving. However, I’m noticing something else now that I did not expect. Despite the fact that I’ve been drinking lots of water and black coffee, abstaining from chocolate and cheese(of course), and eating more fresh fruits, nuts, and veggies than I have in ages, my chronic mild constipation is significantly worse now than it was before I started the challenge. Has anyone else noticed this effect? Did anything help that didn’t involve stimulant laxatives? What might be causing this seemingly
  2. I’m probably the 10000th person to ask this, but I’m not having an easy time searching for individual terms, so I apologize if this question has been beaten to death: When I look at the sweetener rules for whole30, I noticed that the creators of the diet allow the use of fruit juice, which contains a massive amount of actual sugar, as a sweetener. They admit that allowing this is arbitrary because they “have to draw the line somewhere” (?). Despite this, they disallow the use of stevia because “its purpose is to sweeten something that’s not already sweet” even though that’s exactly what
  3. I have tried substituting starchy vegetables and fruits previously with little improvement. I do eat grains frequently, and it’s unusual for servings to be more than 12 hours apart. After about 12-14 hours, I get so nauseated I can barely move if I eat vegetables or meat without bread, rice, or potatoes. The potatoes may help, but are inconsistent, particularly as the duration of my abstinence from processed carbohydrates increases. If I know that I can’t have at least one of those starches, I have no appetite for other foods. I’m fine for a while if I don’t eat at all, but that’s obvious
  4. I would very much like to try whole30 again, but historically I have experienced difficulties with nausea and loss of appetite anytime I attempted a diet that restricts grain. While this is not recognized as an expected side effect in official literature, it is a consistent issue for me. It begins on day 1, and generally persists until I eat crackers or bread, whether that’s in 3 hours or 3 days. As I absolutely must function at work, tolerating nausea and inadequate oral intake for extended periods of time is not an option. Is there a way to avoid or at least improve this symptom without
  5. Now that I’ve finally been able to access the forum, I wanted to make a comment on the process of proving that I was not a bot. I was asked to answer a question about the colors in the whole30 logo, which is not visible on the sign-up page for reference. When I went out to the home page to look, I noted that the logo was indeed blue and grey as the question suggested, but did not see the third color I was being asked to name. I guessed until I got it correct, but it made the process extremely frustrating. Usually, when captcha wants one to identify pictures or type out a code from a graphi
