    January 6 - Day 1

Breakfast: 3 eggs, 1 whole zucchini, artichoke hearts, avocado Lunch: chicken caesar, cashew cookie larabar, 2 pieces dried white peaches, 4 slices dried mango Lunch was closer to my workout than normal so no pre workout meal for me. Workout: 1 mile on the treadmill, 1000 meters rowing machine, weights class, ab class, stretch Post workout: banana Dinner: hamburger patty w/avocado, carrots, tangarine Dance rehearsal and now i'm writing all of you before bed... I don't know if i should eat some more tonight or not... To be completely honest i'm really gassy and the only thing new in my diet was the peaches and the tangerine, i've had all the rest before. I don't do well my stomach is upset but i also don't want to feel the affects of not eating enough tomorrow at work... I have a physically demanding job and I cannot afford to be off. maybe i'll just have an egg and go to bed.

    January 6 - Day 1

@Greek I missed you!!! this group is much larger than our last one which is awesome just take a little more time to get through everything. I appreciate everyone touching on the parent thing. I do not have kids but I am a nanny (those of you who know my story last go around have heard this all before). I am currently the long weekend nanny for a family I use to nanny a lot more regularly for. My kids are 4 and 3 and though the food in the house relatively healthy, it is not whole30 compliant nor is conducive for my food allergies. So in logical form I shouldn't want to eat the food but I'm still human and food that I don't keep in my house ever (there are no items in my house that are not whole30 compliant) always subtly calls my name. Had this been last weekend, I would have felt rather confident in my ability to tell the food to shut it and move on. However, I am back in school and my first 5 page paper of the term is due next tuesday... I have the kids Friday-Monday soooo a relaxing weekend revolved around the kids still needs to happen but that means that I have to use every chance I can focusing on my homework (before they wake about 7am, 2 hour nap time and bed time about 8:15ish) I'm preemptively stressing out about it all. I need to commit my food on here every day, the good the bad and the ugly. @kysanne- have you tried the egg muffins? they save me in the morning I cook 12 at the beginning of the week and they last me about 4 days (I eat three in the morning) I use this link for cooking instructions but put different ingredients in. this week cut up about 4 squash and divided them between the 12 tins, cooked up 2 chicken sausages and divided, lightly sautéed a bag of spinach and divided then I scrambled the eggs with fresh basil and a garlic salt and parsley blend. I personally like to scramble each egg individually but i'm a little OCD... just a thought for another breakfast item. Also making HB eggs into deviled eggs but using avocado to mix instead... Ok, i'll stop being over baring now. ha! http://nomnompaleo.com/post/7486819479/prosciutto-wrapped-mini-frittata-muffins%C2'>

Good Morning and Happy Monday/Day 7, I just wanted to check in and claim my spot on Team J6. I've been MIA on here for a couple days and i've missed you guys. I'm still whole30 compliant and in it with all of you. I do want to be a better teammate though and interact with all of you. Here's to seeing a lot more of each other

    January 6 - Day 1

@Greek - you've got this! don't let a little dressing mess with you! Today was better about staying on schedule with food, still ate dinner a little later than I should have. So I got a little weird, shaky and kind of moody and craving weird things that I don't eat ever like cheeto's? Breakfast: 3 Egg muffins, 1/4 avocado, banana Lunch: 2 salmon cakes, 1 C brussels sprouts, apple, 2 tbsp sunflower butter Dinner: 4 oz chicken, 8 oz mixed raw veggies (red & yellow peppers & tomatoes) & .5 ounce pistachios, 1/4 avocado, 3 spears of pineapple. Rest day

    January 6 - Day 1

Sooooooo... remember when I don't want to be eating as much fruit. I had a weird day with food with too hard of a workout and i am white knuckling not devouring the dried mango's in my cupboard.... @CpTChucky if you care for a girls point of view pre grilled chicken and salad (something I should have done today), the sweet potato salmon cakes and hard boiled eggs, jerky, dried fruit, larabars, apple & nut butter. When i'm in a pinch these things save my life and it's all super easy to keep on hand. Breakfast: Egg muffins, 1/4 avocado, banana Snack: 4 pieces of dried mango, larabar Pre-workout: Hardboiled Egg Post-workout: 1oz pistachios & 2 pieces of dried mango Dinner: 1 hamburger, 1 1/2 zucchini, 1/4 avocado, 1 pear 30 minutes weights, 30 minutes abs

    January 6 - Day 1

Congrats loves!!! Day 1 down! We have begun My biggest goal is to cut my dependency on fruit, which means I need to be eating in a timely manner and cut out fruit at dinner. I have a tendency to let too much time go between meals so then i'm ravenous and decide to snack on dried mango while my meal cooks... wrong. I need to get a little more stingy on my eating times and cut out that extra sugar. I also like to use fruit as "desert" that has got to go as well. So far, day 1 is a success. Breakfast: 3 egg muffins (squash, spinach, chicken sausage, basil & garlic), 1/4 avocado, banana Lunch: 4oz hamburger patty w/1/4 avocado & hot sauce, 1.5 zucchini, orange Dinner: Shrimp stirfry (snap peas, waterchestnuts, bell peppers, broccoli, bean sprouts) & pistachios 1 hour of yoga

    January 6 - Day 1

@Flickik the only way I made it through my first 30 days was by leaning on the people within the forum, I even slipped within the first 10 days and was just honest about it. Everyone came back with love and support. You can do this, we'll be here for you no matter what.

    January 6 - Day 1

Alright Friends, we have arrived!!! Whose ready to experience some magic! I just came off of 90 days eating whole30 (i have extreme allergies so it's just easier) I did go a little hog wild the last 24 hours... I even had some wine! haha, So as I grocery shopped and prepped my meals for the week today, I couldn't have been more excited to get rid of the symptoms i'm feeling from my minor food off roading that causes extreme reactions. I know a lot of us are on the resolution train but I challenge you (on top of greek's challenge) to think of this more than a diet. Find your true reason behind why you are wanting to do this, then keep asking why. I use this method in a lot of areas in my life. I'm constantly checking the foundation of my life. If i keep asking myself why I do the things I do and have an honest conversation with myself, I can ensure i'm holding my integrity, boundaries and self-respect, that I see fit for myself and my life. We are all worth the love and respect we are about to pour into our bodies, minds and spirits. Why can't this be something that we do as long as we live? Just a thought Good luck to every single of you, I can't wait to get to know you all over the next couple of weeks!

    Day 1 - October 21st

Happy holiday's dolls!! Robert I loved what you had to say about dating, I was giggling the whole time. And you're right what isn't attractive about a girl who can actually throw down a meal and still look fabulous while doing it! haha. Update, Dairy is definitely out…. I had a very little bit yesterday and came down with severe body aches and a fever. I'm still having some residual affects with low back pain and it's difficult to breath deep. I didn't expect to have such an extreme reaction but I'll definitely be joining January 6th now so that when I'm done with the introduction stuff I can give my body a break. Anyways, I hope you are all doing well! Merry Christmas!

    Day 1 - October 21st

It's so good to read up on everyone and see the level of awareness you all have of your bodies now. I am actually doing the reintro phase starting christmas eve…. yikes! I did find that Soy was a huge culprit in my bladder issues, a friend used miso as a base for her soup which I of course didn't inquire about until after ingesting it. And for the last week I have been paying for it. Note to self: get a real run down of what people put in their food, just because split pea is broth based doesn't automatically mean they used veggie or chicken broth… So my biggest tackle these days is that I started dating and my calorie intake has shrank too much because eating out and trying find whole30 compliant foods all the time on first date is well… difficult so i've been sticking to salad's which in theory is fine but the portion size and lack of other nutrients is killing my energy levels. It's hard to work out I just tire so easily. I'm going to my parents for christmas and taking a break from the dating scene. Refocus my intent and hopefully start attracting guys who can think of something better than dinner or happy hour as a first date. I hope you all have an amazing holiday! I may be joining you on January 6th, I put in my calendar just in case anything goes awry in the next two weeks.
