    What should I eat for breakfast for Whole30?

    Sweet potato & turkey sausage hash is my hands down favorite...I make a gigantic batch on Sunday and section it out into one a day servings...I add onions, spinach or kale, red bell pepper and carrots to make it a compliant meal in one container...pop a small spoon of coconut oil on it before I microwave it and there's breakfast! Days I work early, I bring it in and nuke it at the office...

    tea is awesome! I actually have a tea "box" like at a hotel and every 2 weeks or so l pick up a new flavor - leave a few teabags at home and put the rest in my box at the office. you do have to read carefully, but it is a great thing to get flavor in your water with no sugar/sweet/cream...

    Good luck to you TJ...I think you should have some amazing results on this program if you suffer from GERD. Try working into a 3 meal one snack day over the course of a week or so. I was always a 6 time eater, and my blood sugar is so much more stable with just 3. Sometimes I don't have any snack at all during the day...

    Making your own sausage is SO easy!! 2 pounds of ground turkey 1 teaspoon sage 1 teaspoon thyme (i like the whole leaf not ground) 1/2 teaspoon rosemary 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1 teaspoon fennel seed crushed (optional - I'm from the south) salt . pepper Mix it all together with your hands (gross) and leave in the fridge for at least 24 hours to let the flavors mix. Sometimes I will do a TON if I find turkey on sale then section it out in freezer bags at a pound each. It is so much cheaper to make your own!

    Vian - that sounds awesome! I don't care for avocado as is, but love it in guac and other mixed up things...i will have to try bacon and mayo next...i think i will use it for chicken salad with pistachios or pecans. YUMMY

    Homemade Dressings - Storage?

    It's just the oil that solidifies...I will remove my dressing from the fridge at breakfast when I know I am having a salad for lunch. If I am at work, i will leave it on my desk and put the rest of the food in the fridge. It will "melt" again in about an hour - I am a little freaked out about leaving it on the counter for days and days, but a few hours never hurt anyone!

    28th January Start Date

    It's all good...I am so glad i don't have to have a hysterectomy that i would gladly do whaterver the doctor presents! First off i am a big fat SISSY - terrified of pain and blood and all tha other yuck. Second, with my line of work, to be out that long would just be deadly - the bosses would have to replace me. They would have to keep me on becasue of FLMA, but i certainly wouldn't be in the position I have now. Anyway...the procedure seems like nothing short of a miracle and i have such good feelings about it that I am WILLING it into working! ha ha... Are you going to do a second 30??

    28th January Start Date

    I'm not ready to stop. I may slack off a little when it comes to sugar and alcohol, but I think that I am going to continue to do a Sunday "cook up" every week and stay compliant at least 6 days a week. I am thinking that straight paleo would be fairly easy after a whole 30 and a more reasonable way to live day in and day out. As for the "lack of loss", I had an MRI done on my abdomen and it appears I have a cyst the size of a 6 month pregnancy. THAT would explain why my pants won't zip! I will be having surgery the first week in May, so the better I can treat my body for the next 3 months or so, the better off I will be after the procedure. I will do another W30 in June to get my hormones back on track!
