Well done everyone - officially over the half way mark as I write this. I don't seem to have any symptoms good or bad to speak of which I think must actually be a good thing i.e. that I'm experiencing no bloat/cramp/tiredness etc. So if that's what I get instead of tiger blood I'll take it. Have a great day

Well, it's day 11 for me now and I feel great. I am also wearing skirt that was a little snug a couple of weeks ago but feels pretty comfy now; even though weight loss wasn't my main goal I'm not complaining. I went on a school excursion with my 6 year old and I seem to have picked up a head cold which is affecting my exercise routine but not my eating. I will have to find some new recipes for next week as I've been making huge portions of whatever I'm having to last me a couple of days but I'm a little bored of the same old same old so I'll be pouring over my recipe books for inspiration. Keep up the fantastic work everyone,

Yay everyone - we seem to be going along well and we're almost finished our first week. I'm quite sure anyone looking at me would not see any physical difference since last Sunday but oh my goodness I feel like a different person on the inside!

I was at 7 year old birthday party early evening and of course wine was supplied for the mums as was a cheese platter. I was feeling so good I wasn't even tempted with the alcohol because I was enjoying the company on a Friday night just as much with mineral water and the cheese ( which can be my downfall) didn't appeal because I wasn't hungry yet for dinner and I made myself listen to my body's cues. I felt like I'd grown! I tell you what though, some people got pretty defensive about their food choices after I explained what I was doing. I had made a point of telling my close friends what I was doing so that they'd know not to bring me treats etc but the wider circle from school were making those lame jokes about " i'd rather enjoy myself and live a little", "Life's too short for that nonsense", "What is this " nil by mouth?" They weren't being nasty but they did think I was raining on the party! Oh well.... Here's to a beautiful weekend of lamb shanks!

Good morning Day 5! Feeling pretty good - just had an omelette with red pepper, tomatoes, avocado and spinach. So far my husband is safe and I don't want to kill him ( although he has been warned that they may change!!) I'm not doing much in the way of exercise as I have an achilles issue at the moment but I am off to pilates this morning so I'm still doing some things. The weekend is approaching and for some this will be the hardest time to let go of our habits - wine o'clock anyone? Take it easy

Day 3 now in Australia. I'm going to focus on making my meals a little bigger and drinking more water. I've cut down on my coffee intake because I don't like it without milk and this morning I woke up with a headache which 5 hours later really hasn't gone away. That's okay though as I've been here before and know that the days of waking up and feeling fantastic are just around the corner. Have a great day everyone

It's day 2 for me now and feeling pretty good. Didn't have my glass of wine while watching Game of Thrones last night and the world didn't stop! I'm going to cook up a batch of asian chicken cakes to do and also some mini veggie friattatas. Have a great day everyone

It really is all about one day at a time but remember this isn't a diet - you shouldn't feel hungry at all. I was Gluten Free and following a low fodmap diet due to food intolerances before my first Whole30 in 2014 and I think I had it easier than some because I wasn't missing bread etc so maybe you'll find some positives like that too. Good luck and stay in touch through the forums to get all the encouragement you need.

So tomorrow it begins! I've just watched 60 minutes ( Australia) and they had segment on hidden sugars and a movie called 'That Sugar movie" - such great timing! Game on

This will be my second time around. I successfully completed my first Whole 30 in early 2014 but I am definitely in need of reboot. I've been toying with the idea of doing another one for a while now and I've had a couple attempts at doing a loose version ( LOL) but clearly I need to make a full commitment and so tomorrow it begins. Good Luck everyone

Superclean Round 2 starting Feb 19 in Aus

Hey paddlepop I'm done and dusted! I've actually been done and dusted for a couple of days but have been crazy busy. I'm so pleased i found the Whole30 and stuck to it. I actually found it quite easy I think it's in my nature to make a decision and then follow it through. Haven't gone off plan - I'm saving that for the weekend - some nice Barambah Yoghurt for a treat maybe and of course a glass wine! I didn't weigh myself before I began but I did just see my nutritionist and I weighed the same I did in October which means I've probably dropped the excess from Christmas/NewYear/Australia Day. I did lose 1.5 inches off both my waist and my hips which seems like a lot but my clothes feel great so maybe I didn't do a dodgy measure! I'm thinking of just continuing with this way of eating - it makes sense to do so - and just have occasional off plan eating for celebrations . Good luck with avoiding those nuts!
