Day 10 woo hoo! Great job everyone. This week's breakfast is egg salad with homemade mayo on greens. Yum! For those needing motivation, I totally get it! I was feeling like bowing out a few days ago when I was feeling so sick. In my experience, sometimes it's good to just sit with it and participate in some self care. Sitting quietly, perhaps meditating on the feelings may bring to light why you are feeling the way you are. Perhaps you're feeling constrained by the food choices, or mourning your old lifestyle. It can be scary to go forward without the comforting tools of the past, like that glass of wine at the end of the day. That fear can manifest in many ways, like feeling unmotivated to continue. If you sit with it and feel it, soon it will pass!

@lfein This is my 5th or 6th Whole 30 and I've been struggling with nausea too. Here's what's helped me: bone broth, extra salt, half a banana, kombucha and especially not waiting too long to eat. If I start to get jittery from not eating I know I'll probably be nauseous when I do have something. Ginger tea is also great. Of course, your nausea may be different but maybe these things would help? If anything, just know you're not the only one!

    HELP!!!!

Don't start over. One sip of sugar isn't going to derail your Whole30. If it were gluten, then yeah maybe since that can really derail healing. An accidental sip of sweet tea isn't going to ruin all the progress you've already made! I've seen similar posts on accidents like this and the general consensus has been to not start over. Hope this helps!

It'll pass! Your body is adjusting to a new diet and it'll take some time. Make sure you're eating fermented foods (kombucha, kimchi, sauerkraut) daily and max out your veggies for fiber.

Get a soda water with lemon and lime at the bar. Then no one will ask you the annoying question, "why aren't you drinking??"

Carolyn, yes it will reheat just fine! I made it this morning (and I am a terrible cook, haha), brought it to work and heated it up in the microwave.

First of all, I am feeling way better today!! Slept great and woke up with no nausea...thank god!! I have a great recipe to share with you: Bone broth breakfast soup! It's easy - just take 1 to 2 cups of bone broth and heat up on the stove to boiling. Whisk 2 eggs in a bowl. Then, with a spoon swirl the broth and slowly stream in the eggs. This is the same process that egg drop soup is made. Make sure to salt and pepper to taste, and hot sauce is good too! Optional: Add bacon, veggies or meats of choice. Obviously this can be catered if you eat more, just add more broth and eggs!

Hi Ladyshanny, I remember you from previous Whole 30's in this forum! Thanks for the response. I've had incidents in the recent past where I've thrown up after waiting too long to eat, so with all the holiday sugar bingeing I've done and making such a drastic change it seems I'm paying for it now. I think I have a super sensitive stomach...but who knows. I seem to be doing better today so hopefully it ends soon! Sugar is one a hell of a drug.

Hi guys, this is my fourth or fifth Whole30 (I did a Whole 60 last summer) but I am seriously struggling this time. I woke up on Day 2 extremely sick, unable to keep anything down. I tried to eat an apple because I was shaky and suspected my blood sugar was low and quickly threw it up. I finally managed to get something down by eating a Larabar over 2 hours and drinking a kombucha. I started to get nauseous before dinner and had to eat some more banana to calm it. Last night (today is Day 3), I woke up at 1am with the same low blood sugar feeling. I tried to eat a quarter of a banana and threw that up too. I finally fell asleep by drinking some warm salty water (yum!!). I have never struggled so much with these carb withdrawals. I was crying in the middle of the night last night not knowing what to do or if I should continue. I feel so bad! I know it is not the flu because it is not consistent, but I am definitely feeling pretty disheartened. When I can eat paleo meals, my appetite is extremely low and I can't eat very much although I am eating hearty meals like beef stew. I guess I don't really have a question but needed to share this. I hope it'll get better, but I could certainly use some encouragement. This sucks!!
