    Starting Nov. 30

    I am also starting today, a re start after a Thanksgiving midtske!! I am on another thread Starting today. Good luck to all...preparation, preparation, preparation!!!!!
  2. Day 1...and we are off!!!! I got up a little earlier than normal to back my cooler for the day. Meal 1.....turkey burger, zucchini,olive oil, and black coffee. Meal 2......egg salad with homemade mayo. Mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, and half a grapefruit. Meal 3........a meat sauce ( crushed tomato, onion,olive oil, and ground beef) over spaghetti squash, drizzled extra olive oil. I wish everyone a happy and healthy first day.
  3. Hello all!! I am also starting today! I am actually starting over!! I did my original whole 30 about a year ago, and it was an eye opener! I have a new relationship with food, and I no longer have joint pain! My DR noticed during blood tests some numbers were high, so I thought it would be a good time to clean up my diet and see if I can lower the numbers. I was on day 7 when I got the bad news!!! The turkey I have been enjoying all weekend was injected with buttet!!! My mom just let out her secret. I was so careful and had such willpower. EJO We old havebthought....THE TURKEY!!!so here I am ......back to day 1.... word of advice....unless you made or bought it yourself.....BEWARE!!!

    I am glad to see that things are going well for you!! I am also having some major digestive distress. However, I have to start over!!! However, I have to star over!!I just found out that the turkey, and leftovers I have been eating since Thanksgiving was injected with butter!!!! The turkey was so moist and delioous. I asked my mother what brand,can then she told me that she had injected the meat with butter during the cooking! Oh well. ...

    Starting November 24th

    Hello all!! I hope everyone is doing well. Today starts my day 5 . I am so proud of myself!!! I went to my mom's for Thanksgiving, and I did NOT deviate!! I was 100%. Even though everyone tryes to derail me. I am feeling great. I wish everyone a happy and healthy day.

    aunt-shannon, I am finishing my day 2 as well. Everything went well and the food was yummy as usual. I just made homemade apple sauce minus the sugar. Have a great night...looking forward to day 3!!

JessRN, I have been reading alot about metabolic syndrome. Thank you, it does sound like that could be!! I will discuss this with my DR when I go back for more test! ArtFossil, thank you!!! Tom, I stopped the liquid mess I was drinking!! I am back 100% unil mid January, and then I will introduce one food at a time. I see no reason for the shakes. Thanks a million

    Hello all!! I started yesterday. My day 1 went great!! I already drink my coffee black, so that was a breeze...I never added back the sugar or dairy from my Last whole 30. Preparation is the key to success!! It makes it easier for me. Well, on to day 2. I am up early packing my food and cooler for the day while at work!! I wish everyone stating tO'Day the best! stravajunkie, thank you. I am working on it!

  12. Hello all!! Great job!!! I am planning on starting tomorrow, Monday 11/23. I am using today to shop, clean out, and prepare. I started a post....Emergency, need to start now, explaining my issues. I don't think anyone is going to join me. Will it be alright to join in here for support?
  13. A well visit from my DRS office has frightened me!! Last year I was having severe jointp pain, I completed a whole 30 and felt great. Throughout the year I have stayed close to the meal template. I have added on occasion... sugar, alcohol, butter, and GF bread crumbs. However, I joined a workout group and decided to add a high quality, plant based, organic protein powder mixed with berries, water, spinach and a tablespoon of Peanut butter to my meals daily. My blood tests showed that my TSH levels are high, my cholesterol levels are up, my blood sugar levels are up, and my blood pressure is on the rise. My DR is doing more tests to see if the thyroid problem is an autoimmune issue or from the lack of iodine. I haven't had any iodine salt in years. He wanted to start blood pressure med now, I wanted to see if I can lower them on my own. He wants me to do cardio 5x a week for at least 30 mins a workout. He is giving me until mid January and then retest!!! I don't have much time and need to start now!! I am planning on today Sunday. Nov 22, to prepare and shop. Tomorrow, Monday, November 23 will be DAY 1...... OBTW, I want to show them what a great way of eating this is. Would anyone like to join me ? I need the support!!!

    Well I gotm my redults back from the DR. My TSH levels are high. He needs yo do more testing to see if the thyroid isue is an autoimmune issue or the lack of iodine. I haven't used iodine salt in years!! Also for the first time my blood pressure is going up!! Cholesterol and blood sugar slightly up as well. He wanted to start meds ...I wanted to see if I can change all of this on my own first. He is giving me until mid January. Then more tests. I am SORRY, BUT I NEED TO START NOW!!!!!! I will be on here to encourage you.

    Starting Monday 1/4

    Hello Amy, I am planning on starting a whole 30 on Jan 4th as well. I completed one about a year ago,and Ifeel great. I lost all of my joint pain and sinus infections. Most of the year I stuck with the whole 30 template with occasional deviations of sugar, wine, and GF bread crumbs. However, I joined a workout group and added a plant based, organic, high quality protein shake into the mix. I would mix it with spinach, berries, and 1 tablespoon of Peanut butter. ......big mistake. If I had it on occasion, if probably wouldn't have been a problem, but that became my meal 1 at 500 AM before work DAILY!!!! Over the past few months I have become extremely constipated, gassey, and bloating. I have stopped the shakes and the peanut butter, but still have an issue. I did ho to DRs for my yearly visit, results tomorrow. I feel that a 30 day reset after the New Year is in order!!!
