Anyone in the UK for 2 Jan start?

I was! I get vouchers from work for Aldi each month so I saved 2 months worth and bought enough meat for more or less the whole 30 days and have frozen most of it! I get veg every couple of days when did you have to restart from? Going ok so far?

Ah yes I do eat almost everything! Makes things much easier, but yeah maybe with the tuna it was just too much mayo, cause it can be really lovely! An easy way to eat it for me is with a baked sweet potato and a salad, just making sure your salad has enough veg for the template. Dress it in some kind of lemony dressing and could be great..if you like that kinda thing!! That recipe you posted looks amazing! Egg drop soup is one of my favourites so with meatballs it sounds even better, I might give it a go too!! Also the veg soup you posted sounds great too, thank you!

HI everyone! I only just remembered what a blessing w30 mayo is. Tuna mayo and coleslaw will really really change my experience. Actually really looking forward to my next few meals! The tiredness hasn't subsided yet but I trust that's my body adjusting and I'll stick with it, I'll be feeling good soon, I hope. Has anyone tried any new recipes they would recommend? keep going!

KIll all the things hasn't hit me, but the tiredness has, big time! Full time training is hard work at the start of a w30 but this is probably the best Time of year to do one for me so I'm sticking to it. I KEEP having dreams though, that I eat off plan. Last night was starburst sweets and buttered bread rolls. Hoping the dreams subside, I've had a similar one every night so far! So far haven't had to deal with eating out, but have emailed ahead for a meeting I'm attending next week asking if it's alrighty if I bring my own food rather than eating what's provided, so that should be fine! Hope all is going well!

Yes! During the programme it's much easier, because I feel like I have a tangible reason to say no. Though thinking about it, my relationship with food probably needs to change if I think my general health isn't a tangible reason to say no when off-plan!

Great news re the hands! day 4 in the U.K. and feeling alright. Sugar cravings are getting to me a little but I know they just need to be ignored! i think one of the hardest things is the availability of off-plan food. Everywhere I go it's like sweets and chocolate are staring me down!

Just shows how important it is to prep! Great effort there I'm doing my big prep now, (day 3 for me) as I had some vouchers for Aldi that I couldn't use until today...managed to get this lot for £50 so doing a huuuge prep of meat and some veg right now! also aldi's smoked salmon is compliant, which is good news if anyone has seen any compliant chorizo in U.K. Supermarkets id be very grateful, as I have a few recipes that involve it that I'm dying to include in my w30! I was shattered yesterday but feel better today after adding a bit more protein to breakfast, so I'll keep that up. Happy Tuesday everyone!

Hey everyone! How's it going? im eating dinner at 10:45pm cause I wasn't prepared enough but the upside is, it's delicious roasted chicken thighs and legs with a large helping of aubergine and some homemade guac (I know I'm short on greens here, on it tomorrow!) I was super tired all morning, and training was a struggle, but I got through it, I think I'd forgotten quite how much I need to eat when I'm eating proper food...no complaints on making my portions a little bigger tomorrow

Hi! I'm in the UK but started yesterday, the timeline won't differ too much and the thread I posted in has gone quiet - how's your first day going?

Hi everyone, hope it's alright that's I jump in on this group, I'm starting today too! I'm Jazmin, im in the U.K. and this will be my third round, I'm 22 and work as an athlete, so nutrition is pretty key for work as well as general life. I don't have to compete til mid next month so this felt like the perfect time to do another round, as I always feel and train better in full w30 flow! Looking forward to this January whole 30 with you all!

Hey SueBee, great work on the birthday party!! Hope everyone is still hanging in, I got the new Whole30 book this week so looking forward to trying some of the recipes! I did a big batch cool yesterday so I have my meals for this week all sorted, I feel like I've settled happily into a routine and the next 9 days shouldn't be too bad!

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the recipes last week, the Chili is one of my solid favourites, and I've had sweet potato hash a good few times for breakfast! I don't know where to get a hold of spaghetti squash in the UK though, so if any fellow UK whole 30ers know, Id be grateful! This week has been much harder than the last, I was starting to think that the second time round was going to be "easy" but I was wrong! Temptation appears to have been round every corner. My biggest issue, though, is staying within the meal templates: I want more than we're supposed to have. I suspect my massive appetite is more to do with the time of the month than anything else but I'm finding myself wanting much more than recommended, and I'm only a small person! (Although luckily at 5"3 I have GIANT hands so can hold 5 eggs....so yeah, that's how I've been justifying my 5 egg omelettes..oops) I really want to see some physical results at the end of this process, less so in the form of weight, but in body fat % (which for my job I get measured roughly once a month) and I'm worried that if I keep eating so much that won't happen! So my big goal for the coming week is to stick to the meal template. A secondary goal is to get to bed at the same time each night, as better sleep was my favourite result from my last whole30 and I'd like to speed up the process of seeing that again! Anybody else got any revised mini-goals for the week? ps well done for making it 2 weeks!

Also, do any of the mods know if this recipe would be ok? http://paleowithmrsp.com/courgette-zucchini-spring-onion-and-lime-fritters/ Just because it seems kind of pancakey, but its mainly veg, so borderline I guess!
