  1. Question... I have Sjogren's and am a survivor of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma from my Sjogren's progression. I've had two surgeries that the doc had to remove my salivary glands. My mouth is EXTREMELY dry. Is there ANYTHING compliant that I can do besides drinking water? I'm thinking a mint or something that I haven't found yet?
  2. I just got back on here after doing my first whole30 at lent. I started on the 3rd, and I am struggling hard. I don't know why. I want all sugar. Tomorrow is supposed to be my first tiger-blood day, and I don't see how it's even possible with how I feel right now. I've been completely compliant and learned how to eat enough at mealtimes last time around, so I'm not even needing/doing snacks. I haven't been working out because kids are sick, but that just always makes me more hungry. I asked my husband if a whole15 is good enough? What am I thinking?! I don't know if I have the strength for this even though I've done it before. Then again, there's a certain scrupulosity that comes out in me with giving up something for lent. Any thoughts for encouragement or why I would be having a harder time this time?

Whole30 for Lent: starting February 18th.

I can't believe I did it! I didn't realize how awesome I was feeling until I had some candy today. Still gluten free candy, but candy. I'm trying to remember that this is a process and only my first whole30 (technically whole46 but who's counting). I feel awful and can't wait for compliant food starting again tomorrow to reintroduce correctly. Congrats to all the lenters out there!

I didn't measure at the beginning. Boo! I did weigh myself on day 30 even though I'm going until Easter. 20lbs down! I tried on a pair of pants that I got for Christmas last year that I could've fit a leg into. They now fit beautifully.

I'm staying on until Easter too. I don't know how to go about reintroductions either. I just want some bacon! That's all I know for sure. I could've tracked to a Whole Foods and bought some compliant, but I never did. I started this journey with four people from my gym, and I'm the only one left still going. Lent is a strong motivation for me. I don't have many cravings, but when I start to think about Easter brunch with my family, I get worried. Bread is my most favorite thing in the whole world, and even though I've been Paleo for a year, it still calls my name. So excited that we're almost there!

Whole30 for Lent: starting February 18th.

Hi All! I didn't know about this thread. I'm doing this for Lent too. I've been Paleo, but this is my first Whole40. I found the forum a couple days ago and figured out I'm not eating enough. I'm still trying to fix that, but I'm feeling better than I was, so something must be going right. My problem is my gym time. That and I have a 20yo daughter that eats all my pre-made food out of the fridge. She gave up fast-food for Lent. I'll take it!
  7. I'm on my first whole30. I've been Paleo for a year, so I really just needed to stop the sugar and challenge myself to not be lazy with food anymore. I've been pouring over the forums, and I think I made myself more confused. I have the food template, and I'm trying to follow it. Does this mean that for lunch today, having a chicken thigh with broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, fellow squash mix is acceptable and will tide me over until dinner? Also, what are some suggestions for post-workout foods? I've got the hardboiled eggs before I go to the gym suggestion. Thanks for all your help! According to the timeline, my cravings decided to come later.
