  1. My plan is to stick with this way of eating through all the holidays for several reasons: 1- I need to loose weight 2- I have a serious carb/sugar addiction once I let the sugar dragon loose 3- I sleep better, feel better, act better when I don't eat sugar, etc 4- everyone around me benefits when I eat this way ;-) I'm on another thread that started 11/16 and I'll join this one too!
  2. I'll start another W30 with you Genat and Jenny! This is my 3rd this year. I'm on a quest to loose weight and more importantly feel healthy. Sugar and wheat are not good for me but because I love both, I'm here! We can lean on each other for the holiday.

Congrats to all that stuck with this challenge. We all know it isn't easy! I lost 4 lbs but as I said a few posts ago, this is a lifestyle way of eating for me. I already know from previous W30 what foods to stay away from so I will take a week "off" having a few non-compliant foods, then continue with W30 next Tuesday for another 30 days. Maybe I'll see some of you then!

Hello all. Great job on sticking with your Whole 30!! You're in the homestretch. Hang in there! Here's my plan... My first W30 was in May. I had a very successful and committed W30. Felt the tiger blood around day 15, and felt pretty awesome from day 10 onward. No cravings, mood swings, heartburn, stomach aches, joint pain etc. The reason I need to stick pretty close to W30 for life is because I have an autoimmune disease. When I eat grains, and sugar I just feel crappy and my symptoms reappear. Recently I was also diagnosed with severe glaucoma in my left eye. I'm already loosing some peripheral vision. I'm only in my 50's so this is a bit disturbing. So, long story short, I need to stay away from grains and sugar, my body just can't handle the carbs. So basically I will be doing W30 for the rest of my life. Every now and then I do have non compliant foods, but to stay healthy I really shouldn't eat that way. That's why I will continue to eat the W30 lifestyle, with a "treat" thrown in every 30 days or so.

Yippee for the NSV Shoafie!!! Tara! Great job on making your own tomato soup! Sounds delish! Lyric-sounds like you're experiencing many NSVs. Congrats! Bored with your meals? I've changed things up by not eating normal breakfasts or lunches by eating eggs for lunch and chicken for breakfast. I add hot sauce for a change and try new veggies I've never had before. Some are a great surprise while others are yucky :-) Happy 15!

Merg. Thanks for the positive thoughts KellyGirl- I had a house salad with my own oil/vinegar and had them make a grilled chicken breast using OO, topped with marinara. They gave me two breasts!! They were small so I ate both. NO BREAD! No pizza bread! No pasta! No wine! Yay! I didn't feel funny asking for a special order; it's my money! They didn't mind one bit.

Happy Saturday! Congrats on the life-changing job Tata. Good luck on Monday and let us know how it goes! Today I took a 5 mile walk and really enjoyed the time. I've noticed since this round of W30 started I'm walking a lot longer and feeling really motivated to continue. I too am loosing some sleep but I figured it's the change from a lousy diet that enabled me to be a slug! I'm not tired so I guess I'm getting enough sleep. Tomorrow is the Chicago Marathon that my friend runs yearly. He hurt himself this week and won't be running. He's really really bummed about it. Imagine all that training for nothing. So a bunch of us are taking him to dinner tonight to hopefully cheer him up. We're going to an Italian restaurant (Noooo!). Wish me luck in staying away from the bread, pasta, pizza, wine and all the rest that will be lurking! :-[

Hi all Lyrick! We wore the remote out last night switching between Hawks and Cubbies and no beer here either. What are we becoming? Ha! Working from home today so making the best of the gorgeous weather here in the Midwest and working in my screened-in porch. Already went for two walks and planning another later. Got to take advantage of sunny and 70 degrees before all hell breaks loose! Later!

Hello everyone! Back from my weekend camping trip and I'm having a difficult day. Is it because I stayed true to W30 foods and now I just want to self-sabotage? What gives? All I'm thinking about today is potato chips! Ugh!!!!! These are the difficult days and I just want to make it through to the other side. After work I'm going for a long walk. Maybe the sunshine will do me some good.

BeautifilMonster - if you like it, grill fresh pineapple along with that pork loin. It's so delish and maybe that'll get your friend interested?! Hawk - I'm totally feeling the Zen in the air myself. It's a relief for everyone around me Hahaha! And yes, this forum also helps me. It keeps me focused and feel somewhat accountable. Day 5! Happy Friday! I usually have a glass of wine after work on Fridays on my porch to welcome the weekend. Today, it'll be sparkling water with berries! Stay compliant everyone!
