Wow some great post. I am proud of both of you Marjet and LL. I am interested about those mashed potatoes smashed and then baked?? Sounds good. I put cheese into my diet yesterday. Not a lot just a little at dinner. I do like cheese. I found my self over heating in the middle of the night. I sure hope that was not the cheese. Today I stayed compliant except for one lifesaver candy that I sucked on for about 30 seconds and threw away. Not because I felt guilty, I was fine, but because I felt no need to eat the whole thing. You will not hear from me until at least next Monday since I will be heading out remote and my internet is not the best out there. Please know that you have become a great support for me and please keep on posting I will be back. I am going to be eating compliant out there like I did last time since it is easier than introducing with limited cooking places. I am really trying to introduce one type at a time as the book suggest. I think I am going to oatmeal and raisins when I get back. Oh just realized I did buy some Lara Bars with peanut butter so guess I will be doing a reintroduction for peanut butter. I wanted something out there for a snack in case I got hungry and wanted something different in the hotel room. LadyLisbette I am a big backpacker. I have packed Whole30 compliant and also non-compliant (honestly staying compliant while packing is pretty hard), if you would like some food ideas please let me know. I dehydrate all my food, make my own energy bars (which are definitely non-compliant) and do not buy any commercial made meals. About 12 years ago I did a 10 day trip with all homemade food. Usually when I go out it is for 3 to 4 days now. (Getting older). I have also made food for my FODMAP friend. Have a great week and I will check back upon my return.

Well guess who is on day 61. I stayed compliant for the 60 days. I have a lot more to learn but believe I need to start reintroduction phase. I had bacon with a little processed sugar for my BIG splurge reintroduction. I am going to take it slow. I am going to a friends for dinner tonight. Shrimp tacos. Marjet did you try peanut butter again? LadyLisbette glad to hear how the FODMAP is going and your husband. I have always been an early morning exercise person I could never sleep if I exercised at night. Glad to hear he made the switch and it works better for you also. I feel a little light headed but that could be from not sleeping well last night and probably not drinking enough water.

Thanks Marjet and LadyLisbette I needed some encouragement and knowing that others were struggling also. I live in Alaska but am going out to a remote Village. The smoked salmon is only homemade out there and always with brown sugar but not a lot. I grew up on the stuff and absolutely love it. It is cured how you see it in pictures cut in strips or whole salmon hung over sticks in a smoker to dry. For me it is delicious. I did not do well yesterday but did stay compliant just a lot of sex with the pants on. I ate a good breakfast this morning hoping to deal with it. I am also house sitting so I weighed myself early and only lost 1 or 2 pounds which was really discouraging for me. (I weighed early so I could use my scale.) I have to say I was already slipping before I weighed but that did not help. I have some good cocoa so I think I will try the banana cocoa idea. Today is Day 58 for me.

Hello there. Have not posted in a while. I am struggling. Never have struggled like this on the plan. I am not sure why and my struggle has caused a vicious cycle. I am eating compliant but not correctly. I have been into walnuts and baked apple crisp then I am not hungry for meals when I should be. Yes these are compliant but I am probably having sex with my pants on right now. So this is why we are here to support each other. Just writing this to you all is helping me out. I have been reading the new book on reintroduction and some of the things I am doing she discusses in the book. I am struggling but I need to think through this. I head out to remote Alaska again in one week. This is at the re-intro time. I will take food out with me to stay in the re-intro mode. I did not do 60 days to not do re-intro correct. One item I am looking forward to when I am out in the Alaska village is some real smoked salmon. This is probably going to be a good re-intro food since it is salmon but cured with salt and brown sugar. It is not alot of sugar but it does have sugar. Hanging in there but need to make a commitment for the next few days of my 60 days before re-intro. Today is Day 57

Hello everyone. Love hearing all the stories. Anna H and kelsysgotthis love hearing your stories on your reintro success. Love pizza also so that was interesting to read your reaction. Re-Intro I am a little scared about so to hear your success stories was helpful. I need to start preparing for my reintro. I am now on day 51 so really need to start thinking about this. Like LadyLisbette I have been having some cravings. Mine are not with the tacos but I would love to have some chocolate cake. I am thinking this is going to be one of my first reintros. This might be to much of a reintro since it has sugar, dairy and flour. So will have to think that through. I also been having trouble with exercise. I have two reasons one is it takes time and the other is I hurt my rotatory cuff two and half months ago and it still hurts I have been in PT for 7 weeks I am getting an MRI today to see what if something more is wrong. So when I exercise a lot it can aggravate the rotatory cuff argh! I am not sure if I am ready for reintro. I think I am scared to go back to my old habits. Need confidence there. Will really have to get strong and let my self know I do like eating the new way and eating the old way did not bring as many good long term rewards only short rewards. Today is my Day 51

Today was a good day. I did some stretching and walked on the treadmill. I have been really trying to increase my activity level but have not been that successful so today I printed out a calendar so I could track my activity a little better and considering getting one of those fitbits to give me some fun while I am increasing the activity. Today I ate really well. Tonight I made a bunch of roasted veges for leftovers and also roasted a butternut squash. With my roasted veges I had a tri-tip steak and topped that off with a mandarin orange. Hope all is well with everyone. Day 46 for me.

Thanks for everyone letting me know you are still out there. I am doing pretty good. Tonight I did not eat very well but I am trying not to beat myself up. Ended up eating some Brazil nuts, yams with coconut oil, and way to many dried Mangos. Yep not my best dinner. Well if that is the worst I do in 60 days I should be rejoicing. Marjet how is Mango doing? She still keeping you up. Wow cats are so independent and it is even harder when they are 14. Good Luck. Oh Marjet if you are getting hungry and snacking between meals try to increase your meal sizes especially in the protein and oil. You may not be eating enough at your meals. If you are working out get in that additional protein and oil before and after each workout. Sometimes what I do is eat a little tuna or salmon salad before and after a work out I try to stay away from snack bars. You do not need a lot but a little tuna or salmon salad with homemade mayo makes a big difference. Treeny_Bash hope you are feeling better I was not feeling well last week and food really is not a priority in your mind when you don't feel well. Even though your re-intro has not been as smooth as you want we all learn from your experiences good or not perfect. I bet 95% of W30 re-intros have a rough road, I am impressed with your comments on the sugar sweetness. I am not sure I have this motivation or I am going 60 because there is really a lot of work in doing the re-intro the way the book says you to do it. Actually I enjoy the extra learning with the extra 30 days but there is a lot of work in the re-intro. Lisbette I have a friend that does the FODMap diet it is fairly restrictive but she feels much better when she follows it. You have to really think through your food on FODMap but it is doable. CONGRATULATIONS on Day 30 I thought you were already past 30. So how is life with out Yams? I have to admit I am starting to day dream about eating bread with my raspberry jelly or having a piece of chocolate cake. I will persevere. Day 45 for me.

LadyLisbette glad I could make you laugh. I am now working on dealing with Mango issue. Doing okay but it is in my brain. I compromised and ate a mandarin orange. Yes I agree with you this is exactly why I needed 60 days. I really feel the 30 days you just start to get the hang of it then you start reintro. With going the 60 days you really start working some issues. Raisins are an issue for me too but I have none in the house today. What is ACV that you put in your water. I usually just drink plain water but tonight I had extra lemon juice after I made Mayo so added it to my water. I have added ginger before and enjoy that taste also. Little concerned about the dropping off of people from the first 30 days. I was wanting to see more reintro experiences especially a few weeks into reintro. LadyLisbette, HedgeHog8 and SamnKelli am hoping you will stay with me here it is nice to hear from others and we have quite a few more days to go.

thanks for the well wishes. Wow LadyLisbette - what a break through on emotional eating to have the dream on your Mom. She probably is very proud of you right now fixing all the healthy food. This afternoon I was thinking similar to passing the brownie aisle. I was driving in the car thinking I should stop off and pick up some apples and make my husband an Apple Pie on "Pie Day". Then I thought oh Chocolate Cake would be good too. Then I realized my husband likes Pie not cake and my sugar dragon was trying to get me to bake something sweet. Well I cut that dragon off. Then tonight I pigged out on dried Mangos. I have decided that was not smart and really just another attack by the sugar dragon. If the sugar dragon does not behave the Mangos are just going to have to leave the house...... I just realized I might be having some dragon issues with all the applejuice I drank while I could not eat. I was thinking it was good to get something in me but it might have brought up my sugar dragon more than I realized. Hmm going to have to keep that in mind..... Day 42 and keep on learning.

Welcome back Hedgehog8. Your ventures in Germany sounded fun and eventful. Kind of a bummer you could not eat anything you wanted while traveling and still have all that energy. Guess that is a fact of life. I travel and interested in your adventures to give me ideas and inspiration on how to work through healthy eating and still enjoy the various cusines of the countries I am in. Thanks for sharing LadyLisbette I am so happy you are keeping on and having a good time. You are helping me keeping on going. There are just a few of us doing the W30 2X back to back with no reintros. The second 30 days seems harder than the first so having you here doing well is really helpful. Well my last post I announced I was sick. I did not eat for about 2 and 1/2 days. I stayed compliant though drank unsweetened apple juice and chicken stock, with added olive oil. I ate a banana too that was a big deal. My stomach is better and now on my forth meal without any problems so I think I am back to normal. I was questioning if I should stay on this extended 30 days in the depths of my stomach issues but now I am back to I love eating this way. Oh My! Thanks for your concerns. I am back and ready to learn and share with everyone. Day 41

I am sick today and yesterday something is going around. Even the thought of food makes me nauseous. I have not ate since last night I am thinking of drinking some chicken broth. Hopefully I will feel better soon and start enjoying everyone's post. I don't feel like doing anything. Such Fun!!!!!

Hello Everyone I am on day 36 and the last two days I think were one of my hardest days yet. I was just hungry and had the munchies a little bit of a headache. I wanted some sugar. That sugar dragon was definitely visiting me. I have been working the last about 10 days on what size meals I needed to eat to keep me satisfied for the 4 to 5 hour stretch without eating too much. Well I must have cut back just a little to much. I picked up eating last night added additional yams and this morning am feeling a little better now. So glad I decided to go the extra 30 so I could get some of this stuff figured out. Put in the crock pot a pot roast and will add a yam to that tonight. I don't put really anything on my face I just go natural. Think it works for me.

Sometimes you just need more time. That is me. There are a few of us on this forum who have kept going for me at least another 30. I am hoping to learn more and fine tune this W30 eating lifestyle in the next 30. Welcoming you into the next 30.

Thanks for the reintro stories. Sounds like it is tricky to do the reintro as the W30 suggest. I did not reintroduce well the last time I did the W30 so hoping to learn from this forum how to do it and how to listen to my body. I am going to have to prepare for that when I start reintroduction next month. Since the 30 day clock turned I have been really working on increasing my exercise and have been doing pretty good there. Getting in a few good walks and doing some muscle stretches. I also tried out the sausage recipe in the W30 book looking forward to sausage tomorrow. Good Luck on reintroductions.

Wow Everyone glad to see the weight loss but even more happy everyone is noticing other changes in their lifestyle which is more important than weight to them. Don't let that scale dragon creep up on you again. For me the scale dragon has as much of an addiction as the sugar dragon, I think they are cousins..... For myself I saw a 6 pound drop and happy for that. I am continuing on for another 30 days and this is the only rule break I will do. No more scale for another 30 days. I think I did not exercise and I am making an effort to turn that around the next 30. Cannot wait to hear how everyone is doing with Re-intro and how others like me complete another 30.
