Day one 8/7

So, I'm officially starting my Whole 30 today! I try to eat mostly paleo, but I have had a pretty bad week this last week while visiting my parents in Utah. I have pretty much eaten to near combustion. So I have decided it is time I make the commitment.

 

Some of my goals while doing the whole 30:

 

*eat mindfully and no mindless snacking. If I need a snack, I sit down to eat it.

 

*eat gratefully: express my gratitude for the food that I am able to eat

 

*meditate at least 20 minutes daily to calm my mind and center myself. Realize that there are so many elements that make up my life and not just food!

 

*exercise, in some form, everyday for at least 60 minutes.

 

*journal when I'm feeling stressed and want to turn to food

Hi cafelover,

 

We're starting the same day! (And both in lovely Colorado.) 

 

I'm doing this for the same reasons it sounds like. I eat paleo but have gone totally off the rails lately. Time for a W30!

 

I love your goals and am inspired to set some for myself.

 

Sitting down to eat is a good one.

Trying to tune into what my body really wants/needs.

Being grateful for my food.

Eating more slowly
