gretcheniswhole
I started a Whole30 in July and made it 21 days, relatively easily. But then I totally fell off the plan, no justification, but it was to deal with some emotional stuff. Since then I have tried to restart twice. I can't seem to get to the same mindset when I first started my Whole 30. I'm frustrated because I felt great on the Whole30 and really want to succeed. Any tips for letting go of my first failure and restarting with the same optimism and energy as my first go-around?
Sally_Oh
FWIW, maybe the same energy and optimism might NOT be optimal! My biggest nemesis is my Pollyanna persona: she has unrealistically high expectations and, consequently, when life happens, she may not always handle it well. So: I do my best to be realistic. Then when my natural enthusiasm fails me, I can go, "I knew this wasn't going to be a piece of cake." Pun intended. Good luck -- it's a bummer to have to start over. I am now... one day at a time. (That helps me, too!)
