mdguy35
I have a lunch meeting tomorrow that will be at Nando's Peri Peri. I saw this post http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/3101-nandos-chicken/ and I think I can have their chicken but was looking at their menu (http://www.nandosperiperi.com/menu) and think the Nutty Date Chicken Salad without the pickled onions, goat cheese and honey vinaigrette or the Mediterranean Salad without the feta, olives and creamy dressing might work and fit in the whole 30. What do others think? This will be day 3 for me and I want to make sure I am sticking to the program. The other option I have is bringing my own lunch with me and just eating it there What do others suggest? Thanks! Mark
Just30DaysOk
Not a chance that Nandos will let you take your own food in. Nowhere will. I recently checked a similar Nandos type place, and they said that they marinade their chicken for two days before hand. I'm also in this same predicament with a family meal this weekend.. Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted September 9, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 9, 2014 You will not be able to tell from the menu what is ok and what is not. Your best bets are steak and/or salad. But you need to inquire, that steak could be marinated in soy. BEST: Call ahead and ask for specifics, and let them know exactly what you cannot have. GOOD: When you arrive, pull the waitress aside and tell her what you cannot have and ask her to check with the kitchen on what you could order. It is always a smart move to bring your own dressing along and tell them you want it sans dressing. You can also ask for a few lemon wedges on the side to squeeze over it. Good luck!
