amandawillis
Hello my name is Amanda. My sister in-law introduced me to whole 30. I have an autoimmune disease called sjogren's syndrome. It is an inflammatory disease and I am hoping by avoiding the inflammatory triggers in food, I can regain my energy and start feeling well. It will be very hard to avoid carbohydrates for 30 days, but I really want to do this and hope it changes my choices of food in the future. Any advice is much appreciated. macysknits
Hi Amanda, Congrats on deciding to do the Whole 30; my goal is also to start the program tomorrow! I can definitely relate to being apprehensive about avoiding carbohydrates but I'm hoping this really does put me a on a path to better food choices. Good luck! GFChris
Welcome! Just a note: Whole30 is not low carb or no carb. You're just not eating the refined carbs of pasta, rice and bread for 30 days. Enjoy the complex carbs available on the Whole30, such as pretty much any vegetable you can think of (including carb-dense vegetables) and fruit.
