My name is Erica, and I am a Whole30 flunkie

Tons of great advice here. I have definitely been in that place of obsessing about food and engaging with the constant battle of judgement and scale addiction. One of the things that I found immensely helpful was Geneen Roth's book "Women, Food, and God." (It sounds like some weird religious thing, but it's not...) It helped me disengage from the rhetoric in my head, from the good/bad dichotomy. Unlike most books in this genre, it's not trying to scare and punish you into changing. Roth's mantra is kind of along the lines of, "you can't hate yourself into happiness." Whole 30 is a tool, an amazing tool, but coming at it from an obsessive perspective is not healthy. Do what feels right to you, you're the only one who can find your way!
