Bree_w30 Posted January 2, 2017 Share Posted January 2, 2017 After buying It Starts With Food last week, I planned for today as my start date. I want to control what I eat instead of feeling like what I eat controls me. Lately, the fatigue and allergies have been more and more frequent. I am tired of feeling this way and am ready to take responsibility for how I treat myself! First challenge was a family turkey dinner...gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, dressing and lefse! I had them leave out a couple of cooked potatoes prior to mashing and adding the dairy and then brought my own veggies to steam with coconut oil, red pepper and salt and pepper. Surprisingly it was pretty easy (but I made sure they kept passing the dressing to the other end of the table!) Second challenge, evening. I avoided snacking with lots of tea. So far, so good. And proud of myself for making it through the day. Glad to join the group and I look forward to the sharing and hearing how others are doing!
