New to Whole 30, Starting: 1-2-18

Hello Everyone!

I am new to Whole 30. This was recommended to me by my aunt. I have seen lots of posts about this on social media and decided to give it a try. In the last year I have undergone 3 different surgeries. Each one left me 20 pounds heavier. That's right! I have gained over 60 pounds in one year! I also suffer with Rheumatoid Arthritis in my feet and hands. I have been experiencing a lot of extra pain in the last few months and I am sure it is because of my rapid weight gain. I have to get this extra weight off! My feet can't stand the pain.

I am excited to try this way of eating. I hesitate to call it a "diet" because there aren't many restrictions. I don't smoke, I don't drink alcohol, and I already don't eat most of the "not allowed" foods except for dairy. Yes, I love cheese! That one will be hard. But I'm ready to hit the reset button!

I look forward to hearing from all of you out there as I work through this process.
