I think this diet is garbage. I’ve been on it for 18 days and haven’t lost a pound. I’ve read forum entries that say things like “Have you been weighing yourself during your whole30? You know that's against the rules, right?” and “You're doing too much intense activity, not eating enough” and “Exercise should be "loving movement"”. This sounds like a cult. 

I am on this program to be in solidarity with my wife, who also hasn’t lost weight. 

In the past, if I’ve ever wanted to lose weight, I cut back on portions, increased exercise and reduced calories. That’s it. I’m going back to that, and turning in my W30 toga and bracelet. 

And for the record, I’d rather eat a half a Snickers than 2 Larabars.
