Newbie here with praise for Whole 30, started April 1

I am on Day 8 and so far it is going good. I've had a very stressful week and avoided any binge snacking which is some kind of miracle.  Page 63 in "The Whole 30 Day by Day" book was timed perfectly as I sit her craving a sweet snack after lunch.  Clearly, steamed fish and broccoli doesn't sound good so I realize this is a craving not real hunger. I also realize how I am using food to 'satisfy' me emotionally.  So thankful for this program and this book, it's helping me understand my unhealthy emotional relationship with food.

Hey, Cjcheck.  I started on April 1 too.  I totally agree with you -- thinking about what I'm eating and why is making a big difference.   And it feels like the food addictions are losing their grip.   The only thing I miss so far is wine :)  Hello, kombucha!
