PaleoRunnerYogi
Hi all, Headed out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant tonight and on Day 5 of my Whole 30. I've stayed strong and don't want to get off track. We'll be eating here - http://www.fuegova.com/downloads/menus/fuego-menus/fuego-dinner.pdf I was planning on the grilled shrimp (Camarones a la Diabla), but do you think the salsa will have sugar? If so, there also the red snapper (Huachinango a la Veracruzana). Yuca fries sound amazing, but those are probably fried in non-paleo oil.
befabdaily
Veracruz-style food is usually pretty clean but you simply will not know for sure. Even grilled shrimp can be grilled in non-paleo oil.
PaleoRunnerYogi
That's what I figured and just had to make peace with the potential oil. I didn't choose the chips, tortillas, rice, beans etc....so I will live with the possible bad oil last night. It was delicious and I made the cleanest choice available. Coffeeandshoes
I am debating on eating out Friday, I'll be Day 11 and my options will be pretty much steak or shrimp and a salad. My best choice looks like a steak salad, but I'm going to have to call and see wat they put on it. The steak comes with baked potato (doubt they have sweet) and salad and I don't know if the salad will be filled with junk that the resturant won't/can't pick off. Every other vegetable they have is fried. ;/
