Master protein recipe with morning mix?

I'd like to make a batch of the morning mix found on page 263 of ISWF, and I'm planning on using ground turkey. My question is if I should prepare the turkey via the "Master Recipe - Ground Meat" first (using onion, salt, pepper, etc). I guess a more general question would be whether all of the "Ground Meat Skillet Recipes" assume that you have cooked the meat via the master recipe.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Cindy, yes the meat should be cooked first. It says "To make a one skillet meal, cook 1 to 2 cups of vegetables (see chart) per person. Then, place another 1 - 2 tablespoons cooking fat in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cooked ground meat and veg..........." so yes, cook the meat first. I tend to cook large batches and then split it into single servings and freeze in ziploc bags. It's then so quick to pull out and add to veggies etc.
