keightlynn
So sorry for the TMI, but I'm on day 6 of Whole30 and have been feeling great. However, the last few days I seem to be "clearing out" with having to go to the bathroom 3-4 times a day. Not diarrhea or anything, but when I gotta go, I gotta go. I got about half way through a Whole30 last year and never experienced this. However, I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I know that "clearing out" can also be a sign of impending labor, so I'm trying to figure out if this is likely from the Whole30 or if I should maybe be calling my midwife to check in on this?? I went ahead and packed my hospital bag today, just in case!
Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 4, 2015 Administrators Share Posted January 4, 2015 Having never been pregnant, my suggestion might be useless to you....but my guess is that perhaps because you are so far along, your baby is taking up all the space so there is less room in your digestive system for "stuff" to sit for any length of time. The extra fibre and water etc from a Whole30 can definitely increase stool frequency. On the other hand, you might be meeting your baby soon! lianna
I swung between diarrhea and constipation during 3rd tri. It's normal, not always a sign of labor unfortunately
Willrunforchips
I agree with Lianna... I noticed a swing back and forth between clearing out and stopping up in the 3rd tri. I have noticed that the whole 30 generally gives me a little more urgency to go. Congratulations on the baby
