    thanks a lot for your post. sunflower oil is widely available here and I'll take good care to get high oleic one!
  2. hey whole30 folks! in the German speaking part of Europe (Austria to be precise), there is NO (!!!!!) light olive oil, no light avocado oil (avocado oil sold here is dark green and very virgin if you ask me) and also no light macadamia nut oil. can you think of any other compliant oil for mayo that can be used instead? or maybe someone from Europe is reading this an can post a link to a compliant light tasting oil that's available online? I've been using rapeseed oil (not to be mixed up with canola oil!) as it's the most neutral tasting oil one can get here, but obvs this is not compliant. please help! thanks Katie

    day 16 and bored

    day 16 and I don't have any cravings at all (nsv yeah!) but that's somehow a bad thing as well as I'd rather not eat at all then think of yet another compliant meal. the food has lost its taste. I'm catching my self behaving like an anorexic teenager poking around the plate not being able to decide if I should take this or that salad leaf. is this now the storm before the tiger blood or what is happening?

    hey! I'm a grazer, and this aspect of whole30 felt also really hard for me for the first couple of days. from my experience with numerous diets I can imagine that you're not eating enough. show me your plate(s). what do you eat? maybe the fat is missing? I'm hardly ever hungry lately - except after my 6am workout. when I feel the need to stick something in my mouth I go for a tea, or a mini-compliant meal. if you're hungry - eat, just stay compliant and keep the meal template.

    Hey hey! week 2, yeah! I must admit that I was kind of sick of the food for the past two days. I didn't really crave something, but I just couldn't eat a salad again. I'd rather not eat anything. I somehow got through it and today the sun is shining again. my favourite whole30 foods I discovered this week were: Tuna Salad (Downshiftology) Pulled Pork Salad (Downshiftology) Apple with almond butter Egg roll in a bowl. This week I'd like to make a chicken soup, I feel like needing it right now. On the menu are also fish curry, another egg roll in a bowl, maybe Zupa Toscana, but I'm not sure I can live with coconut milk instead of cream in a hearty dish and definitely some kind of stew. I already prepped sauce Bolognese (to eat with zoodels or similar), some red cabbage (cooked and raw), sauerkraut, spicy shrimps and zoodels. also I must say that I'm sometimes jealous of American convenience-noseasonalveggies thingy, because I can't get half of the ingredients where I come from. I'd kill for a spaghetti squash, but it's only being sold here for a few weeks in autumn. Also riced cauliflower, wow! No one is selling that here - compliant sausages and bacon, compliant sauces - forget it. Rant over. you all have a great week!

    hey hey! I started today as well. I'm also from Europe (Vienna, Austria) ;-) it's really hard finding compliant stuff here, so I'll be making my own everything. I enjoy cooking a lot, so this aspect of whole30 shouldn't be a problem. what I'm "afraid" of is going to Crossfit fasted, as I work out three times a week at 6 am. it's not a problem now, but I'm curious if I'll mange that on whole30. I'm not very keen on eating something beforehand. anyone working out so early in the morning? how do you do it? here is my R1D1M1 - Sweet potato eggs nest over stir fried cabbage, mushrooms, spinach, carrots and onions. A dollop of guac.

    Starting Feb 11th

    hello there! I'll be starting my first round of whole30 on the 11th of February. As I live in Europe, I have the feeling that I'm reinventing the wheel because there are no recommendations for compliant products for this part of the World. Mostly because of that I'm thinking of starting a blog to help other German-speaking folks find their way through European whole30 jungle. as you could have guessed English is not my mother tongue, so bear with me and my mistakes ;-)
