It's so awesome to read about all of your reintros. The only things I have had recently are a tiny speck of honey (my coworker wanted me to try the honey from his dad's farm in Hawaii) and about an inch long piece of bacon from a work breakfast this morning. I haven't had the desire to reintroduce anything yet as I'm still reaping a ton of benefits from the plan. I do plan to reintroduce alcohol soon, perhaps this weekend, so we'll see how that goes. I may have mentioned this before, but this is the first time in 3 rounds that I finish without a craving or desire to eat something "bad." I'm so happy about that. Hopefully this is the beginning of a healthier outlook on food (total stress eater here). Hope you all have a great weekend! Good luck!!

Hey everyone! It's so exciting to hear everyone's results! I don't post often, but I loved checking in every day to see how everyone was doing. I came down with a pretty nasty flu on day 30, slept through to day 32, and am still compliant. I don't plan on doing any re-intros until the 11th (that's the day hubby and I agreed on) and even still I want to keep as clean as possible to continue to lose some weight. My results for the month: - down 12 pounds -overall happier mood (my coworkers definitely noticed) - less tired throughout the day - my body is more limber and flexible, which is interesting since I haven't worked out much this month - I have zero food cravings or wishes This was my 3rd whole 30 and the first one where I wasn't craving something bad for me at the end. I feel like something "stuck" and I want to do this right. Best of luck everyone, thanks for motivating me and sharing your stories!!!

Yes! I can totally resonate with this. During my first year of crossfit I had a lot of people asking about what I was doing and seemed interested in doing it also. When our box did a Groupon deal I bought a handful of them for close friends and family and not one person used it. I would never push someone to do something, but these were people who told me they wanted to do it but used $ as the reason they didn't. I just had to learn that we all have our own journey and we figure things out when the time is right for us. I know I ignored some really good advice in my 20s that now has me wishing I hadn't (investing instead of shopping, for example). All we can do is keep doing what we're doing. Whether anyone makes a change for themselves is on them, but that doesn't mean that we aren't motivating them in some way.

How great to hear you are all doing so well! I'm happy to report that my husband (who usually eats 2 sandwiches for any meal I am not a part of) has been eating W30 compliant foods since Jan 6th! He saw the success of my last two and decided to unofficially join me this round. He's been really good about eating the right foods and checking labels when grocery shopping. We navigated a restaurant today and he thanked me for inspiring him to eat better. Talk about a NSV! We have another birthday party tomorrow and we are currently prepping a fun bunless burger meal for us to bring. I really don't miss any foods right now, but I'm still missing my wine and cocktails. I wasn't drinking much before this month, but I enjoy the freedom of being able to have a glass when I want. Oh well. It's a small sacrifice for a bigger goal. Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi all! Day 9 is in the books and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I hit up crossfit tonight for the first time in about a month and I felt better than I thought I would during the class. I think I waited just the right amount of time between starting W30 and working out again. While the cold weather made me sleepy (yes, I'm whining about 55 degree weather....), today was the first day that I wasn't super exhausted. I wanted to share with you guys a good pre-workout that I learned by reading the forum during my first round...a handful of olives! I know it sounds weird, but they help fuel my workout without any weird after-taste. Good job to everyone for making it this far. Almost 1/3 done!

Hello everyone! I'd like to proudly share that I survived a birthday party yesterday AND a visit with my bestie at her house. The party had this amazing gourmet gluten free pizza and fonuts, both of which I would have otherwise loaded up on, and my friend and I like to drink and get silly together when we see each other (which is not often), so yesterday was definitely an accomplishment for us. The snacks we brought really helped. We have another party next week and I think I may bring an actual meal with me this time in case we stay longer than anticipated. While I am doing the strict Whole 30 on my own, my hubby has (for the first time ever), hopped on the dairy-free, grain-free, alcohol-free (!) bandwagon for the month. I think he finally saw how good it makes me feel and he could stand to eat a bit healthier, so he made the decision on his own to do this with me (though maybe not as strict). He's on day 4, so the poor guy is super lethargic and has napped a lot today. I think his carb flu is hitting also. It's helped him knowing that it was coming and it will pass. Today is my last day of a 4-day weekend. My timing was perfect on taking these days off from work. I was super tired these last few days and with the exception of a few social gatherings I was able to rest and relax. I'm usually on my feet for 10 hours a day at work and I'm surrounded by delicious food, so this break has been helpful. Today I plan to prep for the week and clean this house. If you guys haven't made the dump ranch or whole 30 mayo yet, trust me when I say they will change your experience! I also might order some Tessemae's sauces today. I've been to 4 different places (including Whole Foods) and I just can't seem to find them. Does anyone have any favorites that they can recommend? Have a good day everyone!!

I started on Jan 2 and this doesn't suck.

Hi! I'm on day 4, round 3, and this time around the lethargy and headaches came on earlier than my last 2 rounds. During my first one symptoms didn't really hit until days 5-6, then again about a week later. I think each person and each round is different. Good luck today....hopefully it's just smooth sailing for you and you get the skip the "dragon lady" phase.

Holy smokes! This sounds amazing!!!! Do you know if it will hold well if made ahead of time and re-heated? I have to prep for breakfast and lunch during my work week so I need meals that can be done ahead of time. Thanks for sharing!! On that note....hello everyone! I'm on day 4 with most of you. This will be my 3rd round. I did one last February and felt amazing at the end of it! I made the mistake of ending it right before a big family vacation, so reintroduction just didn't happen. I did another round in May, but without as much intensity and ate way more fruit and nuts than I should have. The holidays were a mess for me food-wise, so I'm heading into Round 3 with vigor and a resolution to make it stick this year. For those half-hazardly following the plan, don't do what I did during my last round. It's way more worth it to stick to the plan. At the end of your 30 (or 45 or 60) days, you'll be so glad you did. Good luck today!

Emotional eating is huge for me as well. I had a rough day at work yesterday and all I kept thinking about was the popcorn that was staring at me. Being on this plan keeps me from giving in and I worry about what happens after it's over. It's great that you're focusing on that part, I think I'll be working on the same. Good luck!

Hi everyone!!! It sounds like this was a pretty successful round for a lot of us. I can't wait to hear about everyone's results. This has been a great forum group and I'll actually miss reading about everyone's updates. It's nice having people out there going through the same thing and supporting each other. On that note, enjoy your last "official" day, though it sounds like a few of us have found a new way of eating for at least a bit longer (I'm hoping for lifetime!). Cheers!

I totally get that. I tend to snack on my hour commute home as a way to unwind from a stressful day and not deal with the stress of traffic. Working out has really helped. I've gone on runs right after work (like, changed my clothes at work and just started running). It's really helped take the edge off and mellows me out. By the way, when I say "run," I mean an easy jog/walk. Might be worth a try!

Hey everyone! Winding down on day 22! The days continue to get easier, though I'm still counting down to my first glass of wine after this. Haha. I feel like I'll be able to keep up this way of eating for the most part and I'm so happy to realize that I feel this way. After my first round, all I could think about was my post-W30 pizza and cheeseburger. Now, besides adding the occasional grass fed dairy if it agrees with me and grain-free alcohol, I think I can make this stick. I think the NSVs are helping a lot with that realization. I've learned that if I keep things simple, it's way easier. Side note, I made a super easy coconut-lime-cilantro cauliflower rice last night and it was amazing!!! I made enough for this week's lunches to go along with some Cajun chicken. Yum! I hope everyone is doing great. We're at the final stretch!

P.S. Is anyone else having issues with posting from the mobile site? I keep getting "database error" messages. It's bumming me out

Hello everyone! It's so awesome to see so many posts each day. I'm having similar struggles as many of you are right now, mostly with fighting the urge to snack. Staying compliant food-wise hasn't been too hard, but with my long work days I'm definitely doing more 4 meal days than 3. I'm trying to keep my meals more simple this round for the sake of my family....they understand why I need to spend extra time in the kitchen each day, but with my already limited time at home I start to feel a bit guilty about it. Physically, I'm feeling pretty good overall. I'll have small bursts of energy throughout the day and my daily exhaustion has subsided. I have a half marathon in a month, so I'm hoping the added energy will help with my training. I've experimented with fueling for my long runs and I must say, I feel better with the W30 options than with my previous gels and pre-workout powders, etc. Has anyone thought about their plan post-W30? I'm most likely going to stick to it until my race, then work on reintroductions after. I WAS daydreaming about a wine/cheese night while at work today though, so we'll see.

    Starting On March 28th!

Hi everyone!!! Just checking in. With only 4 hours to go until I have to wake up for work in the morning, my energy levels decide to skyrocket! Go figure. :/ I've been pretty exhausted these last couple of days, which I know is normal, so I've been trying to just let it ride and get through it. I've had way more cravings and temptations this round than last round. I'm wondering if the "newness" of the program has worn off for me and now I'm fighting excuses to cut this one short. I keep reminding myself that I'm seeing and feeling the results of the program and that it would be a waste to quit now. Each morning that I wake up, I wake up proud that I made it through another day and that usually helps with keeping me on track. Anyway...that's my story for now. I'd better try and get some sleep or I really will want to "kill all the things!" Good luck everyone...week 1 down!
