Snacks

While I understand that snacking is discouraged during a W30, I have found that when I follow a 3 meal day, 1 hour after waking up, lunch, then dinner, my energy dips at 3-4 pm. With my schedule the way it is, I often don't eat dinner until after 6 pm.

However, if I have a fruit snack at 4 pm, even if it is compliant, I get the roller coaster feeling for the rest of the day associated with spiking insulin and subsequent low blood sugar levels.

If I have a snack composed of fats and protein only, like olives, it helps tide me over to dinner without the energy swings. The key is, no sugary snacks for me, not even fruit. Just my 2 cents based on my observations.

I would suggest a mini meal--a hard boiled egg and some raw bell pepper strips, 1/2 a chicken breast, a few olives and raw veg, jerky and veg-- just fruit is going to have you on that roller coaster, with your sugar dragon chasing you on that not so fun ride!
