There's some white spots growing on top and I notice from the side that there's curly little roots going down from the spots... Did I just brew some kombucha or is my tea just growing full on mold?!? Susan W Posted June 13, 2013 Share Posted June 13, 2013 It could be the beginning of a SCOBY but because you need starter liquid to do it properly, I would worry its mostly bacteria without the rest of the equation (yeast etc).
