KristinaKay19
Help! My husband made delicious stir fry tonight with our new Coconut Aminos. After eating a plate full I asked him what else he put in it. His response, "sesame oil, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes and rice vinegar." I looked at him like he was crazy and said, "rice vinegar...are you kidding?" He hadn't even thought about it. Today is day 17. He said he put a tablespoon or two in there. It was a wok full of veggies. Do I need to start over?
GFChris
Rice vinegar is allowed on the Whole30. It's malt vinegar and any vinegar with added sugar that's not allowed. http://whole9life.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/the-official-whole30-program-whole9life.com.pdf EDIT: While sesame oil is allowed, try to limit it while on a Whole30. http://whole9life.com/book/ISWF-Pantry-Stocking.pdf
KristinaKay19
Our rice vinegar has sugar in it. Thanks for the top on sesame oil, this is the first time we've used it so far.
GFChris
Oops. If this is this only time he used this rice vinegar in the 17 days, I'd add a day. If he's used the rice vinegar multiple times during your 17 days, you would qualify for a do-over. Lesson-learned on label reading.
