ozmermaid
Is natural coconut water allowed? No added sugar !
Kirsteen
It's naturally quite sweet so treat it as you would any other juice. I know some athletes use it for rehydration and i used it for that when i had a bout of enteritis, otherwise it's not recommended as a drink during a W30 just like any other fruit juice. kristananne
I found this on the "Can I Have..." page. I have it pinned to my bookmarks bar because it is way faster to try to find an answer there than wait for an answer. I'm impatient like that. Coconut Water: Read your labelsMost coconut waters are technically compliant, containing only natural sugars from the coconut. However, some brands add sugar to their ingredients, so read your labels. Anything with added sugar is out for your Whole30. Tip: Coconut water is essentially a “light†fruit juice. If you're involved in endurance athletics, work in a profession that leaves you prone to dehydration, or just want a refreshing treat, coconut water can be a fine choice for rehydration. Just don't let coconut water take the place of plain old water in your daily routine.
srice11
I would avoid it unless you're doing vigorous activity in the heat.
Keropie
As was already mentioned its naturaly quite sweet as any juice but still it has less calories than most sodas (read this article about coconut water and weight loss), and if you have to choose between natural coconut water and store-bought one of course natural is better, at least it doesnt contain additional sugar and additives.
