Bethany Lannon
I'm running the Asheville Citizen-Times marathon at the end of this month. Looking for suggestions on good W30/paleo-friendly restaurants in the Asheville area where I could have a good pre-race dinner. Just something with a good menu & friendly staff that's willing to accommodate. Personal experience with a particular restaurant is a bonus. jent103
Someone local will probably have better information, but I ate at Salsa's in May (before I started eating paleo) and they have a lot of paleo-friendly items on the menu, as long as you leave off the rice and bean sides! One of my friends got a molcajete and it looked delicious. We didn't have any special requests, so I can't speak to how well they handle those, but our waitress was very friendly. http://www.salsas-asheville.com/
carolinaBlue
No suggestions but good luck in your race. Be prepared for any kind of weather - a few years ago, I was up there around the same time of year & it snowed! Let's just say that I got the heck out of there asap
Bethany Lannon
CarolinaBlue... Haha, thanks for the tip!! jent, that place looks good! Looks like it might be a good post-race option. I'm trying to avoid anything too ethnic since I'm running so long the next day. Thanks!
