shakartothechai
Today's my last day of reintroductions, and so far I've faired well with yogurt, granola, oatmeal, lentils, kidney beans....and chocolate (and I immediately saw the slayed sugar dragon re-incarnate....doh!) What I want to know is....now that I know what works for my body...is there a guideline I should follow in regards to portions when I'm having these foods? For example, if I want to introduce yogurt and granola to my regular breakfast (let's say 1/2 a cup of each), what should I reduce, if anything at all? My usual breakfast consists of: 2-3 eggs, bell peppers, tomatoes, and avocados. Yogurt has protein and fat (I get the whole fat version, no 2% here!), so should I reduce an egg and avocado? Help? PS. I've started making my own granola so that I can control the sugar content.
runninglawyer88
If you're having full fat yogurt i think a 1/2 to 2/3 cup might be equivalent to an egg. Just try it and adjust according to your hunger levels. Part of the purpose of the whole 30 (I think) is learning to listen to and trust your body.
