Greggoires
Hello everyone, I started my first whole30 yesterday and wanted to share my first triumphant, I think , day. I eat pretty clean anyway, or so i thought, but doing the whole30 even for just one day is showing me how many holes I had in my diet and eating habits. Looking forward to the journey.. Day1 M1 Breakfast 3 eggs Kale and Swiss chard cooked in coconut oil 4 strawbs Chunk of coconut M2 2 small Chicken Thighs 1 carrot Sugar snap peas Kimchi 1/2 avocado Absolutely stuffed from M2! Strange... M3 Salad of Kale, cucumber and pappaya Tin of sardines in olive oil Coconut meat chunks I felt very hungry before I went to bed but I didn't want to eat another meal in fear of it disturbing my sleep so I drNk a little coconut milk... Is this ok? Or do I have to restart already? Any feedback would be great fully appreciated. Love and HapPEAness Gx
GFChris
Day 1 looks good and the coconut milk you had before bed was fine - no restart needed. I would take the before bed hunger as a sign to increase your portion sizes at your meal 3. Experiment with that as you move forward.
Greggoires
Yeh meal 3 wasn't big enough! I was out and packed done food but underestimated. I was so full from meal 2 that I thought I wouldn't be hungry! Thanks for the reply and the support Gx

While you should look to get 3 meals a day in, they don't have to be the size you're currently eating if you don't feel well. Eat at the low end of the template (1 palm of protein, 1 cup of vegetables, 1 fat) at a minimum. Make sure you're staying hydrated: aim for drinking water, in the amount of half your body weight in ounces, daily.

GFChris
Sorry, the banana omelette/pancake is against the no pancake rule. Choose another breakfast going forward.
