Melissa_Joulwan
Hello, friends! This is my third (fourth?) official Whole30 in 3 years, although I eat Whole30 style 90% of the time. I know one of the things that can be daunting when you're first starting is all the cooking that needs to happen, especially if you're making the transition from a standard diet. I have a few blog posts with simple, easy-peasy ideas for eating food that's whole30 compliant and super yummy. And my recommendation for the first week is to keep your meals as simple as possible: meat and veg in delicious combinations: grilled chicken on a bed of cauliflower rice, burgers topped with yummy stuff (see link below), eggs for dinner. Dig in and best wishes to you for a smooth experience! 10 things to put on burgers - http://bit.ly/OGMg86 10 things to put on eggs - http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2012/06/05/tuesday-10-stuff-put-eggs/ 10 flavor boosters - http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2012/06/26/tuesday-10-paleo-flavor-boosters/ 10 foods that are always in my kitchen - http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2012/07/17/tuesday-10-foods-kitchen/ All of these are simple ideas that don't required recipes, but still taste awesome. PaulaB
Thanks, Mel! What brand of coconut milk do you prefer? Is Thai Kitchen with the guar gum okay for Whole 30?
whoisjulene
Melissa, your blog made my first Whole30 a breeze. Seriously - your recipes are delicious and your approach to writing about food/diet and exercise is really refreshing. Just wanted to extend a "thank you" for doing what you do! SusanL
PaulaB, Try Arroy-D coconut milk; no guar gum. For convenience, I buy a box of 8-ox reclosable tetra-paks from Amazon.
