TheBeeGirl
Seeking ideas for ways to use two overripe bananas that are also compliant. All I find when I search are recipes for Banana Bread and other baked goods. Thanks!
ksweet
You could make a smoothie - I know they're frowned upon because it's too easy to "drink your food" but I hate wasting food. You could also peel them and freeze them for later. You can even make the smoothie and freeze it for after your Whole30.
CarolinaVol
You could mash them with sweet potatoes. This would likely create a pretty sweet dish, but at least you're putting the bananas into a vegetable dish instead of paleo pancakes or something. Also, if you mash them with the sweet potatoes, they should last a few days so you can stretch them out and hopefully not awaken the sugar dragon! coco12
I love breaking them into chunks and sticking them in the freezer in a ziploc bag- they're less sweet but very creamy! Make them bite-size so that you can grab them and go.
Vian
You can also make frozen bananas into ice cream, but that's not whole30 compliant, obviously. Just throw frozen bananas into a food processor until creamy. I like to add other fruit like strawberries or peaches, plus coconut milk. You can freeze the bananas now and make ice cream with them after your whole30!
