why veggies ?

The Whole30 is not about diet control. It is about consuming the nutrition your body needs for you to become more healthy. Vegetables are an important source of nutrition that you cannot get from meat, fats, fruit, supplements, etc. 


Vegetarianism - not eating animal based foods like meat, seafood, poultry, etc. - does not provide adequate nutrition. Just as veggies provide some nutrition that cannot be gained from meat, there is important nutrition in meat that cannot be found in vegetables, or other plant based sources.
