EllerBee
Almost a decade ago I was diagnosed with Oral Allergy Syndrome, specific to chicken meat (not eggs). Over the years I have rarely and inconsistently reacted to pork and various fruits as well. Knowing this, I eliminated chicken during my Whole30 and severely limited exposure to any other food items to which I have previously reacted. I am 20 days in today and reacting to ground turkey - a product which has never given rise to symptoms before. Has anyone else seen increased food allergies during W30 or familiar with adverse reactions related to OAS?
Karen_Suep
The only thing I can think of is that turkey and chicken are related. Some people react to beans when they're allergic to peanuts because they are in the same family. If you've been consuming more, it kinda makes sense
