Guest
Most of my fat comes from ghee or homemade mayo and I'm getting a bit bored. I limit nut butters due to a sensitive tummy. Any more suggestions? I can't tolerate avocados and I don't like olives. Thanks!
ArtFossil
You left out olive oil, fatty cuts of meat, and animal fats like lard or duck fat. 'There are a vast number of flavor directions mayo, ghee or clarified butter, and olive oil can take. With vinegars, lemon juice, mustard and compliant catsup, there's no need to feel bored. SpunkyBug
I've never liked olives either, but Castelvetrano olives are seriously delicious. Give them a try. I used to only be able to find them at certain grocery stores' olive bars, but now I'm seeing them in jars, too. I also make a lot of ranch: http://www.planksloveandguacamole.com/2014/05/ranch-dressing.html and a Whole30 version of this mustard dressing : http://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/summer-salad-mustard-vinaigrette (I use the whole egg and swap in light olive oil for the canola oil; also, I use the dump/immersion blender method) Good luck finding more fats that you enjoy eating! steubner
Homemade or compliant salad dressing is a great way to get your fat in. I made garlic-chive "mayo" (which is eggless so more like a salad dressing) and it's delicious. Also Bolthouse Farms Balsamic Vinaigrette is great.
