So I started my very first whole30 last thursday so halfway through day 4 now.

I'm 149kg and I've tried so many things. I always looked at others going on diets or whatever and wondered how could someone have so much willpower. I could barely make it through a single day. But now, and I know it's only day 4, but I don't even feel like this needs willpower. I'm just doing it.

I've made so many changes in my life in the last year which has probably made this easier. So here's to changing even more and taking control.

Congratulations....keep up the good work! I just started and am on Day 2. I made a huge breakfast with a bunch of leftovers (Veggie Turkey Hash with an egg). It is funny how I feel full, but not bloated like I usually do after breakfast!

Good Luck!

Welcome, and great job on you first four days! I thought this would be more of a struggle, as well, but it's been surprisingly easy. I've been wondering when it will get hard, but I'm on day 12 and it still seems effortless (minus the hours of food prep on the weekends!). For me, I think having very strict rules helps a lot. I think in the books they say that strict rules makes things easier because it takes decision-making out of the process, which in turn makes life easier on your willpower stores. That is definitely true for me. Oh, and not ever being hungry, unlike when I've been on other diets, helps a whole lot :)

Congratulations @Cooleyes and welcome! I found the Whole30 after years of being on another diet. I TOTALLY get your comment about willpower - previously I would start the week strong, something would come up, and i would totally punt the rest of the week, waiting for my "reset" day the next week. I really like that this is it - just DO it. No thinking, no gaming the system, no playing with exercise time to sneak in a "treat".

WE WILL DO THIS!
