Ashragu
Hi everyone! I wanted to start my WHOLE30 tomorrow and I have been reading as much as I can for the past week but two main things are tripping me up in regard to meal planning... 1) Am I focusing on portion control? I see the portion sizes, so is that what I should be having at each meal or can I go higher? 2) How do I plan a meal...it says no fruit is off limits and i read about people eating fruit but I believe the meals just consist of protein, fat, and vegetable correct? Where would I add in fruits and is there a limit to how many per day? Thanks in advance!
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted April 2, 2017 Moderators Share Posted April 2, 2017 The meal template is a minimum amount you need to eat, if you need more than that it's fine. You can add fruit to any meal, it's best to limit it to no more than a couple of servings a day, and you don't have to have any, so if one day you don't want any, that's fine. Do have it with meals, not on its own, as having it on its own can cause a spike and drop in blood sugar, which can lead to cravings for more fruit/sweet things or a drop in energy.
