EnvironmentalistPrime
I am sitting here with my youngest crew member thinking, how long until the 2 PM slump is not a thing. How long before my body can make it until evening without needing copious amounts of coffee. We are only 5 days into this journey and I was hoping at least that would be over by now. I am asking those on the Whole30 Journey ahead of me, how long until I no longer need afternoon coffee or a nap?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted July 21, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 21, 2017 You might check out the timeline -- not everyone follows it exactly, but it's pretty close for most people: https://whole30.com/2013/08/revised-timeline/ Probably by next week you'll be feeling better. You'll get the best results if you follow the meal template, drink plenty of water (aim for 1/2 oz per pound of body weight), salt your food to taste, and do your best to get enough sleep at night. You can download the meal template here, if you aren't already familiar with it: https://whole30.com/pdf-downloads/
EnvironmentalistPrime
@ShannonM816 thank you for the timeline. I was expecting to be tired, I skipped two days of running this week because of being tired, but man I wasn't expecting to be so "Bleh", but it looks like this will be a thing for several more days and if it means my body uses its fat stores instead of the crappy bagels and white bread it has lived off of for much of my life then so be it.
