First ever Whole30 (12/27 - 1/25)

Hi all,

I'm new to paleo eating and new to the whole 30 program. I just began reading "It Starts With Food" but I decided there was no better time to start the whole30 program than today.

I'm 26 and currently a student. I was very, very obese as a teenager and young adult (mostly a side effect of medications I was prescribed) and lost 140 pounds between 2007 - 2010 eating an omnivore diet that was calorie restricted. I've maintained a healthy weight since then although recently I've been struggling more with binge eating and sugar cravings. I've also had a lot of problems with my skin and digestion recently so I'm hoping eating a lot cleaner will help with that, too.

Today's been easy so far. I'm visiting family for the holidays but out of school and have plenty of time to cook for myself. I know there will be challenges ahead but here's hoping the next 30 days are also healthful and productive!
