ammrox
My husband and I just started on Whole30. I'm not sure how to measure portion sizes between he and I. If I make something with a serving size of 2, it doesn't seem right that he and I would have equal portions.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted October 12, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2020 Try to base your meals off the meal template (download it here: https://whole30.com/pdf-downloads/). This does mean portions can range in size, since they're based on the size of a person's palm or thumb, and it covers a range for each person as well. This means if one of you has much bigger hands, that person will naturally have a bigger portion of protein if you both eat the minimum recommended by the template, but it also means if the smaller person is not satisfied by one palm size serving of protein, they could have more, and might end up eating more than the larger person. This is okay, however it happens to work out. It may take a few days to figure out portions that work to keep both of you satisfied for 4-5 hours between meals.
