Anham Mahna
Hi! Today is my Day 1 of the Whole30 and I'm proud to say I've been reall good all day. But I'm curious about the post workout meal. I am about 70 lbs overweight (192 on a 5'2" body) and am fairly confident I have insulin resistance issues (I have a serious sweet tooth and non stop sugar cravings). So, no sweet potatoes post workout? Also, does a taekwondo class count as a workout? I just had a can of salmon--very yummy--but I wanted to be sure, since I'll be attending tkd classes four to six times a week. Thanks all!
penotti
Hi Anham, Congrats on starting your whole30! I had the same issue, trying to figure out what to eat after a workout, it pretty much comes down to just lean protein: - tuna - chicken - turkey I usually mix a can of tuna beforehand with a tomato or a bit of tomato paste, add some pepper & cucumber. There is thread here that might be helpful: http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/3097-post-workout-nutrition-intake/
